The same general religion, yes. I simply refer to it as Heathenry. But sure, I do plan on visiting the Ásatrúarfélagið temple when it's completed.

Faeroese "name". Not bad.

Hi !

I'm Ana. 24 years old, originally from Pakistan, living abroad for studies.

I'm just trying to strengthen my believes.  That's why, I joined this forum. I found it quite informative. I hope, it'll help me somehow.

I don't think that I can contribute in terms of religion. But for educational stuff, i would love to assist .

Cheers!

Salam
I'm a 21 years old guy from Pakistan. I've previously used ShiaChat, I think it was 10 or 11 years ago. I used to be a very active member back then, mostly in the off-topic forum. I felt like coming back here to try and interact with new people and learn new things.
Nice to meet you all.
P.S. How do I turn off the : D turning into :D ?

So you were here when you were 10-11 years old?  What was your former username, if you don't mind sharing?

Yeah, I was here. I mostly just spammed but I really did enjoy the time I spent here :D Unfortunately, I don't remember my username. I'm going to try searching for some usernames I used a lot back then, maybe I get lucky

How do I turn off this smiley turning into this thing? :/

Salam everyone!

I already began posting without introducing myself

I was born and raised in an English speaking country (a little vague? yes. Gotto keep some anonymity :braveheart: )

Uni... been there, done that. I'm very interested in studying the way of the Ahlul-Bayt and learning from others and trying to understand different perspectives.

I used to lurk on the forms a lot in the past, so I don't exactly feel new but the people who used to post often don't seem to be active any longer.

So basically I'm just your average guy who likes nature walks, reading before bed, FIFA every now and then, and the occasional pineapple pizza

Salam all! New member here. I joined a while ago but never really explored the forum, but I'm back at it. My names Maryam, originally from Bahrain. Studying to be a doctor, 1 year left!! I go through periods where I'm very interested in theology and religion, and understanding the tenants of Islam, and what it means to be a shia. Looking forward to learning new things here and meeting cool people. :)

Salam, I'm new here. Really looking to socialise with people as I am a bit lonely. I'm originally from Pakistan, now live in the USA. A bit shy but hoping I'll get along with everyone here. Browsing the threads I have discovered things that I can relate to and have often thought about but never really shared. I'm glad I have a medium to explore and discuss things with people. I plan on getting to know people and learning as well. I'm fasting without suhoor today so my energy levels are a little down but Alhamdolillah ala kulli haal. :)

Salaamun Alaykum wa Rahmatullah

ShiaChat has always kind of been there, on the periphery of my knowledge, for as long as I've had an internet connection...

But this week, for some reason - was the week to actually register.

It's been a pleasure so far, and sometimes have had to peel myself away from the forums, now that I've discovered just how deep this rabbithole goes... (and how dynamic this community can be).

It puts my mind at rest, Alhamdulillah, that there's a resource here, and a safe space for Muslims of many creeds and, from what I've witnessed, those who are not Muslim too; to come together in mutual learning and discovery around the legacy of the RasulAllah, the Qur'an and his Ahlul Bayt.

My typing might give away that I'm a bit socially awkward in the physical world, as much as in the digital world - so I ask for your forgiveness if I come across as intense or neglectful in my Akhlaq. Insha'Allah I will have the opportunity here, to improve.

Wa Salaamun Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatu!
