EXALTING WOMANHOOD

Exalting

Womanhood

Very often I have heard

Behind every successful man

There is a patient woman

And whenever it has echoed

Across the landscape of memory

I’ve seen a vision

Of one such man

Prostrate

Before his Creator

His visage bathed in His own blood

Vowing

“By the Lord of the K’aabah

I be successful”

Whenever that happens

The mind wanders

To the home and hearth

And the heart that kept both alive

With warmth and grace and comfort

Grace is the word

That comes most to mind

Even when seeing you in grief

That inner, relentless eye

Pierces through the mists of time

To see you preparing to meet

Your illustrious Father

Hears your last will and testament

And wonders

Why today aren’t the days, nights?

Your post is an indication that while the imagination knows no bounds in creativity, it also plumb the deepest pits of baseness

In your attempt to poke fun at Rawshni, you have insulted a poem, and a very good one, dedited to Bibi Fatema.

bahut khoob....jeetey raho

Shame on you too. . .

This is one of the best poems I've read in a long time, seems you have a lot of talent in writing, hope to read more of your stuff as I go on.
