Salam,

I am at work currently, and I am trying to access a few of my websites ie: www.ebay.ca and www.google.ca but I am being redirected to website that is only allowed on this network. When i do type www.google.ca it will redirect me to a screen that say ATTENTION

The URL http://www.google.ca/ is not allowed on this machine.

You were redirected to:http://cdrem.com

and then redirects me to the other site. Is there a way around this, HTML and C++ people, tahts you!!

thanks

salam

(salam)

but I tink problem is in responsibility of your task, you say you are at work , then you are working to your employer not to yourself.

beware about responsibility of your task against your employer, indeed in work, yur time is for employer not you.

Warning that Allah(swt0 will ask about our all deeds, especially right of others.

A proxy still may not work if it eventually has to go through a router and the rules have been setup on the router.

The best way to go around it is to host your own CGI script such as an ASP file or PHP, and then have that page request the page you want...

so...

Assuming you're programming an ASP file...

1) Use the WinHTTP.WinHTTPRequest.5.1 component, to request data from a page URL that you pass to the script, such as URL.

2) Output the data received as the content of this script.

So if you want www.google.ca, you will call:

http://www.mysite.com/script.asp?URL=www.google.ca

Hope that helps!

Salam,

thanks to all those who replied, but there is another problem, a lot of what you said sounded like giberish to me, I guess I should have mentioned I'm not that advanced in computer terms :S

If someone could explain it to me as "Bypassing your companies internet for Dummies" that would be wonderful

thanks again

salam
