In Dubai, every shop by law must carry an Arabic equivalent of its English name. I'm at a loss to understand what this Chinese shop had meant to convey in English initials but the obsession with duplicating it in Arabic sometimes produces funny results. The official responsible for this has apparently opted for a literal translation...

This from the Dragon's Mall or something like that...

Yes, the Canon 5D MKII. But he's pictured with a 100mm macro lens rather than the 17-40mm wide angle that I have on the avatar.

Few hours ago in Yazd...the last pic is the door of my hotel room.

You know, i've been to every corner of Iran, practically every major and middle sized city has been explored and countless villages, yet, i've never been to Yazd.

I tried it both on my laptop and my phone and none worked. I can't be bothered to use an app just for that. Oh well maybe some other time.

Salam,

Upload pics first on a hosting site like tumblr, or facebook, and and upload them here via image option.

I went to GOMA (Gallery Of Modern Art) in Queensland last month. Here are some photos that I took:

I don't understand this one:

I used an App for reducing photo size, and now I have realised that after uploading these photos here, they look super small.

Oh and I also did a painting a while ago: :)

For almost a year I could open my flat window and see this monstrosity glowering back at me.

Only if I were a devout Christian...

But what made me move out to an outer locality was the cost of living in the town centre.

Did you visit what is said to be the grave of nabi Yush'a bin Noon in Esfahan? It's also in the shohadaa area of the graveyard.

Strange. I have visited Yush'a bin Noon's grave in the outskirts of Baghdad (I think), not far from the tomb of Bahlool Dana.

@ Marbles.. hmm I was shown the one in isfahan. No special mosque or anything though. :Donno:

@ Mina313 we walked about two hours before finally locating it. A guard told us to go where the women have flocked heheh. True enough, men cannot access the actual grave as women are always there and usually sit for long recitations.

And no, i dont think i have a pic on my phone. Will ask sis or hubby though. I am sure somebody took a pic.

Sorry for the long link. I dont know how to upload the image from phone. The palm trees in the four corners were not there when i was there roughly 2.5 weeks ago.
