As bro Marbles is here and this thread picking up life again, I thought I'd post some pics from my recent trip to Kashmir. Here are some photos for you! :

At the airport, waiting for my flight to show up:

Apologies for my ignorance, but aren't you a Pakistani, and if you are, how did you manage to get a visa to visit Kashmir ?

Kashmir looks beautiful!

Oooo 'SkyGourmet' suggests a fine dining experience to remember. Did they meet the expectation that their trade name engenders or were you left eating dried up, salty mush with a plastic fork?

The countryside looks beautil in Kashmir =)

Beautiful*

^ Wow! Who needs to go to Switzerland after this ^_^

Does it take long to get a visa to Kashmir? Could be my next travel destination.

It'll depend who you are. The Westerners have easy access, unlike those from neighbouring countries like Pakistan where getting a visa could be a pain in the neck (or not obtaining one at all).. :P

I guess Marbles answered that for you and Kashmir is sure stunningly beautiful.

Brilliant stuff, Inquisitor. Post more pics of the lovely Kashmir if you have them.

@ Brained, he's Indian.

I've got tons of photos from the place but I don't know if I should share them on here bro. I'll see if there are some more that I could share..perhaps those from Oman, if not Kashmir?

Don't know about Sky Gourment sister Ruq - that wasn't the airplane I was boarding. I don't eat in-flight meals anyway, I usually snack on chips and energy bars, granola and the likes. You should visit Kashmir though with your family, it feels like heaven (minus the curfews and soldiers aplenty).
