As the day approached the twilight I scaled the streets with the purpose of capturing a few landmarks in Budapest, the Hungarian capital.

Buda and Pest were two cities. Buda is hilly and elevated where Pest is flat and low lying. The two different topographies are separated by River Danube. When they were joined by a so called Chain Bridge (pictured), the city came to be known as Budapest circa 1830s.

Real and the unreal - a juxtaposition:

I tried to capture this pretty damsel clad in traditional (and surprisingly colourful) Hungarian finery. She looked away before I could point my camera and stayed in this posture for a few minutes. I was standing alone with camera pointing for a long time hoping she'd turn. She didn't. So I took the pic nonetheless.

I haven't travelled further up north since my teens when I didn't even know what a camera was but a few years ago I did visit the foothills of the Northern Areas in Murree, Bhurban, the valleys of Kaghan and Naran up to Lake Saifal Malook and brought some pics that I posted in the previous pages of this legendary thread.

It's called the Lake District. It's a national park that's in a mountainous region in Northern England. Truly beautiful place. One feels so spiritual here, alhamdulilah.
