tomb of shah rukn e alam

48081_10200335122553677_1700492162_n.jpg

Bro, this is the tomb of Bahauddin Zakariya who was Shah Rukn-e-Alam's grandfather. Rukn-e-Alam's tomb as you must have seen is a little further up the hill and is much more opulent with it's decorative azure tile-work than this one. Rukn-e-Alam's tomb also happens to be the the signature landmark of the city.

to be continued :)

Keep them coming...

@Ammar, man you missed the most worth seeing piece of architecture in Multan, Shah Rukn-e-Alam's tomb. It's massive, majestic and intricately designed. Much better on aesthetic level than either of two shrines you visited. Inshallah next time.

Mujhe PM karte main tumhain sara sheher achi tarah ghumata phirata :-)

i had no idea where i was going,as i was walking alone in the streets.

Ah, the burial site of Mustafa Chamran. I read his book and his exploits in the Lebanese civil war when he fought for Amal and, inspired, made a point to visit Behest-e Zahra, to his grave to recite fatiha the last I was in Tehran.
