Inshallah this wont disappoint you, but I think it is only in Arabic. Aside from that, the book is not for everybody. You have to have real brains for it.

There is a comprehensive essay thats about.. 20 pages or so on Al-Islam.org out lining Shaheed Sadrs book.

The book its self is very well written. I my self had really no back ground in economics and found it to be an excellent read. He really layed out a good system based on shariah.

You know whats interesting though, is that he wasnt the first person in the last century to write a book about islamic economics for the modern times. Before him the founder of hizb al tahrir shaikh taqiudin an-nabhani, wrote a book on modern islamic economics for an islamic state (from a sunni perspective) I havnt read the book yet, but I'm planning on ordering it.
