I am really confused and in dilemma whether to fast or not; may I urgently request some learned brothers to share me their thoughts?

Here's my situation:

Days before the start of fasting my wife and I visited our daughter whose place qualified us (more than 22 kms) as musafirs.We had no idea how many days we will stay with our daughter who requested us to help her with some problems.

One week before the start of fasting, my father in law died, so we had to rush to their place which is farther away. We still had no idea when we can go home. Naturally i did not fast. On the 11th day of fasting, even if we were not sure of our schedule when to go home, I fasted but this lasted only two days because I had real bad colds and fever. So i broke my fast.

Now we are back in my daughter's place and still not sure when to go back home.

I am really worried because i had only two days of fasting so far. I really want to fast.

Can i already fast tomorrow, even if we are still more than 100kms from our residence, and still has no definite schedule in going home?

Hoping brothers/sisters can help me solve this dilemma. Please share me your expert thoughts ASAP so I will have peace of mind before we reach the Eid day. :huh:

Advance EIDL FITRI AL MUBARAK to all, Insha Allah.

1362. If a traveller stays at a place by chance for thirty days - for example, he remained undecided throughout those thirty days whether he should stay there or go away from there - he should offer complete prayers after thirty days even though he may stay there for a short period.

1363. If a traveller intends to stay at a place for nine days or for a less period, and if after spending nine days or a less period there, he determines to stay there for another nine days or a less period, and similarly thirty days pass away in this manner, he should offer complete prayers on the thirty-first day of his arrival there.

1364. A traveller should offer complete prayers after thirty days if he stays for thirty days at one place. Hence, if he stays for a part of that period at one place, and for some part at another place, he should offer shortened prayers even after thirty days.

:) Alhamdulillah, Allah finally sent an angel in the person of Ailia to soothe my bothered conscience. All the quotes u mentioned precisely answered the exact situation I am in... ALLAHU AKBAR...ALLAHU AKBAR...ALLAHU AKBAR.

Actually, in desperation, I fasted already this morning. Just to be sure, shall I break my fast, since by all indications, it is void anyway?

Thank you so much Ailia for the enlightenment. May Allah shower you and your family HIS bountiful blessings.

With salaam, :)

well come any time bro ;)

& this is agha sistsne rulling;

1728. If a person does not know that the fast of a traveller is invalid and observes fast while journeying, and learns about the rule during the day, his fast becomes void, but if he does not learn about the rule till Maghrib, his fast is valid.
