(bismillah)

(salam)

Inshallah everyone is in the best health and eman.

I've heard that chips from McDonalds aren't halal as they're coated in some sort of beef product. I was wondering if anyone knew if that was the case with their fish and vegie burgers and whether they are fried in animal fat or sunflower oil? If anyone knows the answer, I'd be grateful if u could post it up and tell us what ur source is as i'd like to know for sure whether these are just rumours or whether there is any fact associated with them. As i have sheq at the moment, i will be avoiding McDonalds until someone can give us the low down.

Ws,

Zahra

every where in united states mcdonalds are haraam.

I definetly know the chips and the burgurs are haraam but i'm not sure about vegin burgers or the fish.

I think they cook the fish and the vegin burger in the place where they cook all other burgers also, i'm not sure about the oils.

so u go burger king....

Why go any where? I don't even eat outside, the last time I ate in a restaurant was 4 or 5 years ago.

Salam All

The Mcdonalds in Denmark Are Haram.

I haven't eat at Mcdonalds or Burger king or what so ever, that have to do with America.

I even dont drink Coca Cola.

I haven't eaten or drink american products for about 5 years know, many people said to me that one person , dont make a different, but i think people would' be surprised to see how many we really are, to boycut America and Israel.

We dont Need Mcdonalds and Cola, they just makes us unhealthy, and big, fat nasty People.

Lets say Without USA, we would be more Free and Healthy human beings.

^Some say they are Halal, but i still don't trust them. The Maccas in Rockdale claim that they are Halal, just a few of their products, but i don't believe them either. I don't even believe the one in Punchbowl..

Why is everyone so worried about Mcdonald's anyway, there are other take away foods around, which are nicer and much cleaner.

Peace,

Zeinab.

They used to coat the fries with beef shortening or somethin until the Hindus (note: the muslims are lazy and dint do anything) sued Mcdonalds, and now mcdonalds does not do that.

incorrect. they actually didn't win that lawsuit... and the only thing that mcdonalds changed, was it's ingredients list... where it once said "natural flavors" now says "natural flavor (beef source)". (specifically, beef tallow)

from the mcdonalds website...

French Fries:

Potatoes, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, natural flavor (beef source), dextrose, sodium acid pyrophosphate (to preserve natural color). Cooked in partially hydrogenated vegetable oils (may contain partially hydrogenated soybean oil and/or partially hydrogenated corn oil and/or partially hydrogenated canola oil and/or cottonseed oil and/or sunflower oil and/or corn oil).

and yes, they do use the same grill to cook all the meat. mcdonalds is a filthy place, staffed with teenagers who don't really care about the quality of your food, and who don't get paid enough to care whether or not they meet mcdonalds already lax cleanliness standards. ask anyone who works there.

on top of all this, they support israel... so why on earth would ANY muslim want to spend their money there???

get a fry-daddy and make your own fries.

"if you are what you eat, does that make you dead meat?"

Commo`n Guys ! Let`s slow down a bit.

On what grounds re` we talkin abt only two options, haram/halal ?

There`s is 'Makrooh(disliked but halal)'

Precautionary Obligatory(Ahtiyaat wajib) etc.

So selecting halal food is ok,but we should`t be making a mess out of it.as a matter of precautionay obligatory, muslims shud avoid Macdonalds because there`s always a chance that they used an ingredient in the kitchen(one can never know, they will not allow u to enter in there) wich makes the food un-acceptable for u.

But we the muslims re` hypocrate enough to go Macdonalds with our families/relatives n freinds after making all those lenghty speeches against it`s haram food.In my city,Macdonalds ve` opened a new branch n scores of so-called religious shia muslims re` visiting them day n night.so my message is quite a clear one,i.e

Either join a 'He' or a 'she'.

Some ppl complained abt precautionary measures that re` taken regarding cleanliness n that filth [Edited Out]. Macdonalds is more neat n clean than our muslims hotel n restaurants(ignoring haram/halal debate for a while)

So it`s not the food of Macdonalds wich is questionable, but it`s our own muslim hypocracy that shud be addressed. Macdonald`s management can do nothin if muslims deny to visit them out-rightly.

I asked an Iranian guy working here in a McDonalds in central Tokyo and he said it's halal. He even went on saying that the chicken's usually from Brazillian halal butchers.

hehehehe i eat the fillet-o-fish only. :D

Salaam,

In McDonalds, the Fish and beef are always fried in separate fryers, as the composition of the oil in the meat fryer wont fry the fillet properly.

That is the only thing I know
