City ,Hadrat Umar Is The Pillars Of City ,Hadrat Usman-e-Ghani is the Roof

of The City and hadrat Ali karamallahu wajhu is the Door of the

Dear Managing Director &

Dear Dr Amir liaquat hussain,

Salamualaykom !

As you know In The Programme of aalimonline at Geo Tv Channel,

An Alim (syed shah haqqani)from sunnah sect said in a answer of question

that "Prophet said,

I am City Of Knowledge and My dear Abubakr is the walls of the

City ,Hadrat Umar Is The Pillars Of City ,Hadrat Usman-e-Ghani is the Roof

of The City and hadrat Ali karamallahu wajhu is the Door of the

city".

Next day in another program the same aalim said that ,

"alsalat al taraweeh (Namaz-e-Taraweeh) is the Sunnah Of Prophet

Mohamad (S)".

Please Kindly Ask Him The Refrence of the book from where he got those

Thing?? bcoz we have studied thousands of islamic authentic books of variuos

popular ulama-e-kiram but could not find those things.

As we know that "the prophet said "Ana Madinatul Ilm Wa Ali Babuha"

Refrences by the books of baradaran-e-ahl-e-sunnah:

Mustadrik al Hakim VOL:3 Page:127

History by Ibn-e-Kaseer VOL:7 Page358

Manaqib-e-Imam Ahmad Bin Hambal (rehmatullah alaih)

Tajjalli By The Sunni Scholer Dr Syed Mohammad Teejani Samavi.

And The Second Thing That we All Know ,Taraweeh is not a Sunnah Of Dear

Prophet Mohammad(Peace be upon him)

Bcoz Taraveeh Starts In The Period Of The Islamic Caliph Hadrat Umar Farooq

RaziAllah Taala.

We Are very Disturm after hearing that things at your Tv channel And

you must Argue online from the respected Aalim and you must ask the

refrences.

May God Bless All The Muslims May God Make A Great Unity Between Muslims.

With the prayers of your success.

Aslamo 3alikum,

Actually both the traditions can be found in the books of Ahle Sunnah.

The messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: " I am the city of knowledge, and Ali is its gate. So whoever intends to enter the city and the wisdom, he should enter from its gate." Sahih al-Tirmizi, v5, pp201,637 (there are total 32 sunni references for this hadith)

The other hadith which you have mentioned is as follows:

Prophet states: " I am the city of knowledge and Ali is its gate, and Abu Bakr is its foundation, Umar its walls and Uthman its roof."

And I think this hadith is in Hakim's hadith book..

Salaam

Any one with some common else can automatically see this hadith is a forgery. Here an excellent refutation from Dr. Tijani on this very hadith from "Ask Those Who Know" :

"...This is another trick which the falsifiers of hadith narrators resorted to during the time of the Banu Umayyad. When they found that a hadith was widespread amongst the people, and there was no way to deny or refute it, they decided to add a paragraph or words, or to change some phrases so as to dampen the impact [of the hadith] or to [make it] lose its intended meaning. Just as they did with the hadith: "I am the city of knowledge and 'Ali is its gate", they added: "and Abu Bakr is its foundation, 'Umar its walls and 'Uthman its roof".

This [trick] is not hidden to the objective researchers who refute these additions which, most of the time, indicate the lack of intelligence of the falsifiers and their lack of wisdom and light of the Prophetic traditions. For they can observe the saying that Abu Bakr is it's foundation means the knowledge of the Prophet (P) is derived from the knowledge of Abu Bakr, and this is disbelief. Likewise, the statement 'Umar is its walls means 'Umar prevents people from entering the city, i.e., prevents them from getting to the knowledge. The saying 'Uthman is it's roof is necessarily absurd since there is no city which has a roof, this is impossible...."

Salam o Alekum,

he is not our lord hoo gave khilafa to rascals like abu bakar umar uthmaan muawiyah

There are those khalifa whom people make or they aquire it by force.....then there are khalifa who are made khalifa by the Lord, All Mighty (SWT).

did u read the post by abdul hassan in which Allah tells Abu bakr not th grieve i.e he comforts him he comforts usurpers according to u

First of all it was the Prophet (SAWW) who told Abu Bakr.

Second, the words 'Don't grieve' were not meant for any solace;. Because it was a statement forbidding an act. In Arabic, we have 'donts' and 'dos' as imperative verbs. Now, the grief expressed by Abu Bakr was either an act of obedience or disobedience. If it was obedience, the Prophet would not have forbidden it, therefore it is proved that it was an act of sin and disobedience.

the blessed Prophet said:

" I am the city of knowledge and Ali is the BAB[GATE]. Whoever so wishes or desires to obtain knowledge should come via the GATE i.e. Ali."

our good friends can add whatever they wish to this Hadith-e-Mubarika but the fact remains that the Prophet commanded the seekers [talibs] to enter via the GATE. In other words, he said that to reach him they must come through Ali and not through the foundation [abu bakr] or the walls [umar] or the roof [uthman].

In any case, the Quran commands that whenever thou approach a dwelling/place/house enter via the gate/door.

Civilized people always enter via the gate/door and do not climb over walls, or break in through the foundations or roof.

most humbly

I think Wall and roof is to keep you away from the city of Knowledge :P

Sometimes I wonder about the people who wrote Hadith for Sunnis. They try to Match existing hadith to make their Caliphs and his supporters to look just as superior and distinguished like our Ahlul Bayt. But they fail miserably due to simple reason…most of the hadith lack logics

Remember the hadith from Holy Prophet that said Hassan and Hussein are Shabbab ahle Jannah (Leader of Youth of Paradise). And pronto.. The hadith Factory made one hadith that claim Prophet (pbuh&hf) said Abu Bakar will be leader of Old man in paradise…but the problem with this hadith is that …there aren’t going to be any Old Men or women in Jannah . Ahle Jannah are only youths :D
