US Operation to Recover American Airmen in Iran

The US carried out a massive scale operation to recover two airmen whose aircraft were shot down near Isfahan. Could someone explain how such a large operation involving a large number of assets was carried out successfully even when Iran was aware of the situation and recovery attempt? Seems like some serious loopholes in the Iranian defense.

No clarification is needed—this is just one of thousands of US lies trying to create fake victories to deal with rising oil prices. If it actually happened, it would only be because of spies.

Salam. If you google it, this happened 5 months ago, on April 3, 2026. The two ejected from the F-15 and were found in the mountainous region south of Isfahan.

The pilot was probably picked up by a small helicopter flying below radar. The other crew member was found about five miles away on the next day or the third day. 

Of course the Iranians were looking for the two ejected from the plane, but people were busy protecting their buildings, bridges and infrastructure. Two US airmen were not that important.

You could be right about that. We only know what the mainstream media wants to tell us.

Isfahan is located somewhere in the middle of Iran. The fact that US managed to go all the way in and rescue the airmen is telling in itself.
