Perfume on Quran

[ILuvMuhammadSAW]

My Quran genuinely smells a little like fish, probably packed that way because in the morning and night i spray perfume in my room and keep the windows open 24/7, and the fish smell is genuinely so distracting that i get distracted while reciting, so is it okay if i spray some perfume over it?

if it doesn’t damage the script or by precaution the translation and isn’t deemed disrespectful or you could donate that Quran and buy another one that doesn’t have an odd smell from the binding
