There was not enough money for umrah 

It looks like tomorrow or Thursday or Friday I should be able to book tickets for Egypt the last 10 days of Shaban 

I would take a bus to a big city fly there spend 10 to 12 hours and fly back

So I’m looking is the airport layover for torque groups worth it or it seems like it’d be easier enough just to use the taxis to get to Shrine of Zaynab as and Ras Imam Hussayn as also would do the pyramids first because it closes at 4:05. If I have the time I don’t know if flights land on time in Egypt, I would land about one in the afternoon. There’s some flights that land early in the morning, which gives you all day, but then they don’t fly out till five or seven in the next day. I only found one flight that lets you catch a 2:10 AM plane back.

Anyone bind Egypt what is everyone’s thoughts? I know it’s gonna be a rough trap in terms of the share amount of traveling, but to perform the one of the minor pilgrimages is worth it and this is the only one I can afford a rock Iran Saudi Arabia are kind of out of my price range if everything holds this is kind of a spur of a moment thing I might see if I could fly out from my city, but that seems like believe it or not how much longer process

While you are there in Cairo, a visit to the shrine of Sayyida Nafisa (sa) would also be worthwhile.

please prayers all. Flying out the second last day of the holy month of Ramadan, the blessed arriving the last fast staying the whole day of Eid and leaving late the next night going into 2nd shawwal 

Duaas everything goes smooth Visa is approved and no flight delays on the time comes

Shrines of Sayyida Zaynab as Sayyida Umm Khuthum as Sayyida Ruqqayyah as  are there we’re in Damascus, depending on the scholar

And reports of their shrines and the visitation rituals didn’t become popular or well-known so between the 13 and 1500s modern era so almost 1000 Hijra 

Ayatullah Bahjat Ra believe their shrines were there

I always thought because Sayyida Ruqqayah as and Umm Khuthum as died in the dungeon that they were just buried in Damascus and that and that their sister as when she died, had her body sent there to be reunited

The cursed Yazid la didn’t want or revolt and saw his plans and backfired when people saw the holy family in the truth. It makes sense the scholarly opinion I’ve also heard that the bodies were shipped to Egypt to avoid a rallying point to get them far far away from the ummayyad capital .

So insured visiting Egypt and visiting Syria both have equal merits in this regard and if one could afford one or the other or both they should do that

Sayyida Nafisa as who is a Hassani is also buried there

Now we have many prophets that we don’t know who they were 4000 were sent to the Israelites, some scholars believe the ancestors of the holy prophet sawa were prophets and messengers or Alawiya but this doesn’t come close to 124,000

So for example, some scholars are the opinion that Ank Aten was the prophet in his grave is in southern Egypt

There are similar views based on kalamuddin for Buddha

There is one not so strong. How do you discount Zara but there are other indications for Zara as long as as well as Darius as well as Cyrus in Persia

There’s at least a discussion in the seminary of India and Krishna and Rama

Confucius and Lao Tzu are also discussed

And Allah knows best Egypt is an old civilization. Who knows how many prophets are buried there

There are many masjids in Egypt as well that are famous and worth seeing

There’s a discussion among scholars that his body was moved or left there, but Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr Ra is buried there near Cairo same with the great companion of the command of the faithful peace be upon him Malik Ashtar Ra

This is what i wrote after a visit to Malik al-Ashtar's shrine in 2011. I was back there in 2024 and it's still open etc.

my plan was to dress and behave low key. I wasnt going to wear three robes ana ammamah just sweat pants, long tee shirt kuffi. i had planned to to pray on paper instead of turbah or rock. i was going to do last day of Shahrul Ramadan at Sayyidana ZAYNAB OR MAYBE eID NIGHT. I was thinking to do eid prayers and amal in hotel than see prymaids, go to Masjid Ras Imam Hussayn as than get lunch/dinner . should i go for Eid prayers loos hard to get a sit. how is praying as shia in their rows there? i was going to get typhoid vacine maybe before going and check that i have hep a vacine. can you walk the roads there or better to take cab shuttle or metro ? i plan to buy prymaid tickets for both days just in case. should i only eat in the hotel nicer restraunts ? i know i have to do bottled water there should i avoid street food ? 2000 grand enough for two  days mix of local us and card ?

1. I was thinking to do eid prayers and amal in hotel than see prymaids, go to Masjid Ras Imam Hussayn as than get lunch/dinner . should i go for Eid prayers loos hard to get a sit. how is praying as shia in their rows there?
   1. I don't know the answer to that. 
2. i was going to get typhoid vacine maybe before going and check that i have hep a vacine.
   1. I don't know the exact situation regarding vaccines, reminds me that I should check with the GP before I go abroad next time
3. can you walk the roads there or better to take cab shuttle or metro ?
   1. I've not found walking on the streets to be a problem. Then again, I have stayed in the nicer parts of Cairo. But I am brown, not sure what a white person might experience. You'll come across some horror stories posted by western travellers esp. regarding taxis.

   1. On both occasions we stayed in an airbnb type apartment and ordered food on the local delivery app. Was fine all the time.
   2. I avoid fish when travelling and especially in countries like this. I also avoid salads and dairy products like ice cream

   1. Given the state of the currency anything priced for locals will be super cheap e.g. uber taxis and local supermarkets and restaurants. We stuck to bottled water. 2000 usd should be more than enough for all travelling, sightseeing, hotels, etc.
