Issue 180. Any impure object will not become pure until the actual impurity is removed from it; however, if the smell, color, or taste of impurity remains in it, there is no problem; for example, if a garment that is impure with blood is washed and the actual blood is removed from the garment, but the color of the blood remains in it, the garment is pure, and if the color can be removed with detergents, this is not necessary.

Issue 181. In cases where multiple washings are required for purification, it is not necessary for the washings to be consecutive. Therefore, for an object that requires washing twice, it is sufficient if it is washed once on one day and again on another day. Similarly, in cases where pressing is necessary to remove the wash (such as purifying impure clothing with a small amount of water), pressing does not have to be done immediately and without delay after washing, but this should not be delayed so long that a significant amount of the wash water dries out.

whether this bucket has the rulling of utensils or not as utensils require three washes

Salam they are different & if  you use Qalil (low amount of)  water so then it "requires three washes" but on the other hand if you use Kurr or running water so then one time washing is enough but three washes is recommended .

Issue 174. An oven, a water basin, and the like do not have the same status as a container. Therefore, they become pure by washing them once. If an oven or a water basin does not have a hole or channel through which water can flow out and water collects at the bottom of it, and if one wants to purify it with a small amount  (Qalil) of water, in order to purify it, the accumulated water must be removed with a cloth, a cloth, a container, or the like.

Ayatollah Sistani (Dam Zillah):

a) The inside of an impure vessel must be washed three times with a little (Qalil) water. An impure vessel can be washed with a little (Qalil) water in two ways: one is to fill it three times and empty it, and the other is to pour a little water into it three times, and each time the water is swirled around in it in such a way that it reaches the impure parts and then pours it out.

b) The inside of an impure vessel must be washed three times with Kurr, running water, as an obligatory precaution. (Tawzih al-Mas’eel, Daftar Ayatollah Sistani, 1425 AH, pp. 34 and 35, vol. 144 and 149)

Kurr water (Arabic: الماء الكر) is a specific quantity of water that does not become najis if it comes into contact with najis things and it also can clean (make tahir) the things which have become najis. All jurists agree that 480 kg of water is kurr.

Qalīl water (Arabic: الماء القليل, literally: a little water) in Shi'a jurisprudence is an amount of water that is less than kurr water and is not running water or well water. One can make wudu or ghusl with qalil water; however, using it for cleaning najis things is subject to special conditions and rulings. According to many Shi'a jurists, if qalil water comes into contact with najis, it becomes najis.

salam

note to above wikishia i couldnt pull up, but generally in shari isla,m and shrah lummah etc indicate three washes with qalil, and no wudhu and ghusul with it. Current risalah online from sistani.org and leader.ir didnt adreess this, the hadith below deals with the source of this rule

however some ulama in past and Sayyid Sistani among others allow when there is enough water to wet everything even slighty however this ruling is for when there is no orher option if you can wait or travel before the majority or the prayer time itself goes out than you should

here is the reference on this for those who wikishia many in us does pull for with the stricter hadith below

.

Permissibility of Wudhu with Small Water Quantity
The provided texts indicate that performing Wudhu with a small amount of water is permissible and, in certain situations, recommended.
1. Guidance from Imams ((عليه السلام).):
* Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq ((عليه السلام).) provided a specific procedure: If you find a small quantity of water, then take away some water from the right, left and in front of you, then take a Wudu'. This shows that Wudhu with a small quantity is valid and has a recommended method.
* Imam Muhammad al-Baqir ((عليه السلام).) stated: It is sufficient to use a small amount of water like rubbing oil on one’s body. This clearly defines a minimal amount as sufficient.
* Another narration from Abu Abdullah ((عليه السلام).) further affirms: Perfect the wudhu if you find water, and if not then a little suffices you.
* Imam Musa ibn Jafar Al-Kadhim ((عليه السلام).), when asked about missing a small area on the face during Wudhu, said, It suffices for him to moisten it with water from another part of his body. While not directly about starting Wudhu, it illustrates the principle of sufficiency with minimal water for completeness.
2. Minimum Required Amounts:
* The minimum amount of water required for Wudhu is described as three handfuls of water... one for the face and two for the arms. If only one handful is available, it should be divided into three parts.
* It is also quantified as an amount like the oil you pass with upon your face and your forearms, being less than a quarter 'Mudd', and a sixth of a 'Mudd' as well.
3. Ruling by Ayatullah Sistani:
* Ayatullah Sistani explicitly permits performing Wudhu with a minimum amount of water. He states: If you are only able to perform wuḍūʾ using a minimum amount of water due to harm concerns... You should perform wuḍūʾ with the minimum amount of water that is still valid for the ritual.
* Furthermore, if using the minimum quantity of water for ablution will not be harmful, one should do ablution by restricting yourself to that quantity of water.
Therefore, based on the traditions and the ruling of Ayatullah Sistani, performing Wudhu with a small quantity of water is permissible and recognized within Shia jurisprudence.

Hadith 1278

From Abu Ja'far, from his father, from Zur'ah, from Sama'ah who said: I asked him about the sufficient amount of water for bathing? He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) bathed with one sa' and performed wudu with one mudd, and the sa' during his time was five mudds, and the mudd was equivalent to one ratl and three uqiyahs.
