The 12 Caliphs controversy is one of the most frequently discussed themes in Sunni–Shia discourse. The prophecies concerning the 12 Caliphs, found in Sunni sources, are claimed by the Shia to refer to their 12 Infallible Imams, regarding whom they possess their own prophetic traditions that are far more explicit, some even mentioning them by name.

The Sunnis, however, reject this interpretation, maintaining that the prophecies refer to 12 political Caliphs. Yet there is no consensus among Sunni scholars as to which 12 individuals, out of the 114 political Caliphs who have ruled throughout Islamic history, are intended by these prophecies. Various scholars have offered differing explanations and interpretations.

The following 27-minute video decisively establishes the identity of the 12 Caliphs mentioned in the Sunni prophecies with the aid of corroborating and related prophecies (including biblical ones), as well as the prophesied historical timeline leading up to and into the era of the 12th Caliph.
