My friends 

my name is christos and I am a 42 years old , baptised as a Christian orthodox. During the last years I am studying the Holy Quran and I am drawn into Sufism and the readings of Rumi . Due to an health issue of my mother, please pray about her , I read regarding Shia Islam , and I was moved and found that it is my refuge. I would appreciate if you can assist me with materials and books that I can read and if I can find an imam online to discuss

If you haven't checked out https://al-islam.org/, I would start there. There is even an app and you can also ask questions to scholars and imams there. Another good site to use is https://thaqalayn.net/ as well. Sufism and Rumi have nothing to do with Shia Islam and we don't think too highly of Rumi, see here: https://al-islam.org/ask/topics/73527/questions-about-Rumi

Sufism is different from Shia Islam and about Rumi no one is sure whether he was sufi or not because it is not known which sufi ordered he followed and he neither prayed in isolation like most sufis would and finally the masnavi of rumi is lost in time much like the works of many notable people is lost because there is no chain of narration of the works of those people. So, I would highly advice caution on following people whose works cannot be guaranteed to be true. I wish you good luck and hope the links provided above by brother Gaius would help.

In the meantime, I would offer you to ask any question for clarifying things which you might feel difficult to understand including the difference between sufism and shia islam.

I thank you all for your replies really appreciate it . It seems that I had a mental confusion regarding Sufism and Rumi due to the fact that is potrayed in many western societies as a “spiritual “ Islam , that is well orchestrated by media etc. 

May I ask one last question is there an introductory book you suggest ?
