السلام عليكم

can someone please comfort me on this topic with sayed sistani rulings?

ive always had problems with ghusl and always doubt my ghusl, so i started asking my mother some questions, but im usually scared to ask her and also she obviously dosent know all the rulings for men, and i dont have the courage to ask anyone else, and the sistani q&a takes a long time to answer, i started just making dua to Allah and i stumbled upon this site.

My probem is not with ghusl now, because i decided to do ghusl again and finally had no doubts about it this time, but now its “do i have to do ghusl?” im started to always check my underwear to see if any luquids have come, especially when i heard about the “3 chareristics” and there were 2 times in which i checked my underwear, and i saw a dot exactly where the tip of my ykw was, and im know doubting wether a liquid came out or not, or maybe this is water from when i went to the bathroom and washed, or just anything, and if it is actually a liquid that came out, i genuinely dont remember if i felt anything, i dont know if it came out in a gush, and idk if it came out with lust, becaue maybe a video or something came up on tiktok or instagram that i saw?

whats the ruling on this, because i dont want to enter ramadan with these doubts so please if anyone can just answer me asap with sistani rulings please and thank you

@Elyas Salam

imam Jafar as Sadiq as any doubt after three times is from the whispers of Satan

What that means it’s not a doubt where you’re pretty sure but a doubt where you keep having a doubt about the same thing after you already took care of it

So let’s start before you take ghusul you take a shower and wash your hair, the hair of your naval in private parts with shampoo and conditioner and then rinse off then you wash yourself with soap and you scrub the area of your belly button the area between your belly button in your private arts the length of your private parts, the end of your private parts opening where if something was left over, it might get stuck

I’m not telling you to like scrub hard to hurt yourself but scrub wash and rub those areas so that if something got stock, there are dried down from a dream. You know that it could be completely off.

Then, if you want to be really precaution, you can get out of the shower and dry off completely and re-enter dry to take ghusul but you do not have to

The istriba of ghusul is to urinate before so if you do that and some liquid comes out and it’s not clearly something in pure like semen and then you don’t have to worry about it and there are pre-and post fluids that come out both are pure

Now for doubts relating to safety if you’re not sure if you have dreams or not at night, get up a one and a thank you so much, sir as well half hour before the morning prayer get in the shower take a quick shower and ritual bath ghusul with intention, then go pray the night prayer eat, and pray in the morning prayer I saw that you’ve done your due diligence and precaution and don’t have to worry about any doubts. Make sure that you go to sit down on the toilet and go to the bathroom first before showering and taking ghusul then you really don’t have to worry about any doubts

If you accidentally have a dream from sleeping, it does not break your fast. All you’re required to do is do the ritual bath ghusul

if you want to be super precaution, and you have the time you can take a quick shower and a quick ritual bath after your naps you’re not required by any scholar to do that but you can if you want

For people who are at the gym and things like that as long as there’s closed closed off stalls, you’re definitely allowed to take a shower and ritual bath there even in the old open shower is like the YMCA used to have as long as you take a reasonable precaution to cover your private parts wearing a towel from your belly button into your waist that’s fine. Seems now there’s mostly gyms I go to people don’t shower there unless you’re over 50 or 60 it’s kind of a dying out thing.

As for getting aroused from seeing a video or hearing a voice or say standing around talking with attractive females, if it’s not a situation you can avoid and you didn’t do it on purpose and something comes out that doesn’t break your fast

For example, somebody goes to the bus stop to catch the bus there’s attractive half naked 20 something-year-olds are talking to you and being flirty and without trying to engage you know maybe something comes out that’s fine. You just have to take the ritual bath, but if you sat there and touched yourself or purposely interacted or could’ve walk away from the situation, but didn’t that’s not fine.

Another example is a girl with a beautiful singing voice and the person he doesn’t listen to music, but they’re playing at the store. That’s not something you can avoid, but if I decide to take a business lunch at Allah forbid a strip club or a place of music that’s not fine

These are extreme examples, but the illustrate the point to remove these extreme doubts you should be having

I am very familiar with your scholars rules and all scholars ruling seem to be almost identical on these issues there’s not much controversy or difference
