Yes, Iran is currently in generally safe for travel.

It is harder than their certain restrictions if you have an American British or Canadian passport, but that doesn’t make it unsafe as long as you’re following the rules

Generally coming from a western country it’s better to go in a large group that’s doing the religious tours or the cultural tours. That way you ensure you have guides you know a group to do things together with to help each other and you have people to inform you of what to do and what not to
