Covering the sins of our brothers

Assalamu Alaikum, I have heard from various people that Allah says not to reveal your sins or the sins of others. However, what if it is a threat to someone or can damage them if they do not get any help. For example, if someone I know does drugs, this can harm them and until they seek help or try to quit, they will end up damaging themselves. Sorry if this is a dumb question, was just curious.

if they are a threat to themselves and others and it’s imminent, you can inform someone

Informing the police about drugs may cause more trouble than good for both of them and you

Salam you must help people in order to they don't damage themselves as much as possible for you .

If it's a threat for other people in public so then you must stop it even by calling police but on the other hand if it's personal damaging in private so then you can help other people secretly .
