Salam. I had a question. Those who have gender problem like despite  being a  girl, have personalities, behaviours like boys and don't have feelings for the opposite gender rather they have feelings for the same gender. If someone like this controls herself from any sin and any unlawful act for the sake of Allah and desires to be the opposite gender if reacher jannat, is this kind of desire sinful? Can she hope for being a boy in the hereafter if she achieves jannat, as she wants to be that? Will Allah accept such prayer?

If she avoids sin in spite of her trials, she will be rewarded in jannah.  Nobody knows what the reward might be.

If the person is genuinely intersex or biologically male with female anatomy, some scholars allow gender correcting medical procedures. Sometimes people have medical conditions that cause them to have the appearance of the wrong gender.

Salam

such a thought in of itself is not necessarily sinful. The mindset of people if they reach paradise may be much different.

If a person has hidden organs of the opposite gender, this is intersects or what is sometimes call hermaphrodite two different things similar situations then correction according to most of the scholars is allowed

As for a person who feels they are male when they were born female they don’t have both parts or hidden parts or undescended parts or didn’t have a second puberty in late teens manifesting the other gender physically there are a handful of scholars who allow physical transition and I’m paraphrasing, but the argument of the third level when I study this was if you cannot fix the body, you fix the mind

That is not the vast majority of scholars allowing this.

Intersex and hermaphrodite occurred due to certain genetic issues and gene traits so there are clusters of areas where this is more common

Regardless, the few scholars will allow gender transitioning without a physical need, but it being a mental issue used to, and I can’t speak of now because I deal with this issue occasionally here used to require 6 to 12 months of psychological counseling from a Muslim psychologist and to consult with a physician

This is something that should be taken very carefully in age should be considered

Walaikum Asalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Baraktuhu, if she can control her desires and not give into them whilst still having them desire and not acting upon them, then there is no sin upon her. And In sha Allah ta’ala if she continues to preform all her wajibat and stays away from other sinful acts then Allah Subhana hu’wa’ta’ala will reward her with paradise. Also holding up against a desire is not an easy act and it’s a sincere sign of devotion to Allah, so In sha Allah for this she shall be rewarded. As for the dua I don’t really know what you can have and what you can’t and ect but I’m sure whatever the outcome is she will be happy In sha Allah wether it is that Allah Subhana hu’wa’ta’ala grants her an extreme love and contentment in being a female or a different outcome only our Lord the exalted knows, Salaams.

Salam. I'm asking if she thinks like this: okay I'm given this problem but I'll not do any sin but instead I'll ask Allah for the opposite gender in jannat.

Is this thought or this desire sinful? Also, in general cases whether someone has problem or not, having desire to get tge opposite gender in jannah (while keeping away from sins in dunia) sinful or not?

Thoughts are not sins.

However, one must guard their thoughts because thoughts lead to sins.  If she thinks this and does nothing she has not sinned.

Walaikum Asalam So what you mean is you’ll ask to commit the sin in jannah but in jannah there are no sins so in my own opinion you will get what you want either way and you will content whatever the outcome is because there is no sadness there and it’s very different from this world. Wanting to ask to be a male in Jannah in my opinion I don’t think it’s a sin since your not acting upon it in this life and in the next life there are no sins but as for wether you will actually be a male in the next life is a different story. I know you can’t make dua for something haram in this world but I’m not entirely sure about the next since nothing is haram there.  I would advise you to ask Allah Subhana hu’wa’ta’ala to give you the best outcome in the next world and for you to be pleased. I’d maybe ask a sheihk or someone if it’s ok to make dua for something that’s haram in this world for the next world, In’sha’Allah khair.
