السلام عليكم

Can I lay down my 3 months old besides me on prayer mat while I pray? I want to do it because I want him to listen and see me praying.

Also when he grows up (not baligh) can I lead him in prayer (I'm mother/female), particularly because that's how I learned namaz from my mother, praying besides her while she prays it out loud.

Do I have to stand little behind him? Can I pray it out loud?

Jazak Allah in advance.

Salam. Lay the baby beside you, but not on the prayer mat, because sometimes babies wet their diaper.

you can lay the baby on the prayer mat no problem. Be careful when you go for frustration that you don’t accidentally elbow. The baby lay the baby in a position where you can see them and they can see you and they’re safe.

We used to put my son in a rocker thing. It’s not really rocker. I forget what it’s called where he wouldn’t fall out or crawl around, but he could see us and we could see him.

Baby urine is pure as long as he’s breast-fed or she from the milk of one woman and needs no solid food. If he’s breast-fed from multiple women bottle fed eat solid food then the urine becomes impure.

As for leading the prayers, the condition of leading the prayers of mixed gender is to be male the few scholars who have a different opinion on this is very weak evidence, claiming the lack of a direct statement is evidence when there are many indirect statements and historical clues, indications, and evidence proving otherwise

However, before someone has reached awareness, which we usually say is about seven years, there’s no problem

After seven years, it’s better not to after puberty. It’s not allowed.

In Dearborn, I saw something very interesting. A Lebanese woman would stand in front of the kids like 1015 minutes before prayer. These are kids from like say 4 to 10 or 11 she would say all the parts of the prayer and they would imitate what she was doing facing her so she’s not leading but she’s facing them and they’re facing the direction of prayer so they imitate everything she does and does the prayer.

Up until my son was about 10 my wife would stand forward have him stand behind or sit side-by-side with him and lead him in the prayer once he got to be about 10 she stopped doing that

You can always ask your individual scholar for a specific opinion but the majority consider that since prayer is not obligatory on them yet it’s good to encourage prayer. It’s good for teaching. This should be noted most of them. This indicates at the home going to the Islamic center could give the wrong impression we have rulings and narration that stated that a woman praying in front of a man, even if they’re praying separate in validate his prayer for example if I’m on the greyhound and I happen to be in the seat behind my wife, I have to pray first, then she can pray separately after me so it doesn’t give the impression that women are allowed to pray ahead of men et

As far as I know it is impure but needs only one washing to purify.

The urine is not najis in the regular sense but a lesser degree of najis for the male infant and some the female

it’s pure in not the sense of tahir but not dirty in the great sense less effort to clean I didn’t have time to clarify as I was focused on the Salah aspect of fiqh

This is a misunderstanding of wording. It was not giving the incorrect rolling. It was that I was probably typing fast as I’m often busy ironically I only had time tonight because two of the websites I used to teach classes were acting up so I thought I’d jump on here real quick before the late evening prayer

A similar in it happened to me one of the first times I went out to a large community to give lectures during the 68 days I had in my eulogy used the word najis to describe that Imam Hussayn as held his gut as he was getting up to continue to fight and looked at the sky and saw it was late afternoon prayer and he kept holding his left side because he didn’t want his clothes to become najis being used in the sense sometimes it use an Arabic slang for dirty, not unclean of course a lot of people had a fit and there’s likely discussion that no one was saying that his blood was not peer, but the people took it a different way than it’s intended, so I narrow that antidote to say that I Cell former first and foremost, and everybody should be very clear and precise when writing

and ah those Fiqh matters it’s a disgusting and rude way to phrase. Something you should give people the benefit of the doubt and ask what you mean not make odd statement

Especially when the person you’re talking to runs a seminary and taught and attended fiqh lectures at all three levels

taught Shari twice

risalah Khamenei twice (vol 1 )

Tahrir wasilah three times

my book Kitab Taharat once

taught Nahiyah twice

risalah Khumanyi once

wasail Shia vol 4-8 on prayers currently

vol 3 and 4 of kafi once

Kitab hudud of Khoy once

usul of baqir Sadr once

notes on Maqasaib once

notes on kifayah once

notes on Fadlallah once

al Faqih vol 1 thru 4 currently

have a blessed evening and better akhalaq

I will write answers in more detail with a better translation of terms next time

I write this for all concern that we all go through difficulties praise be to the most high me and my wife and family able to run a small Islamic center and small seminary in the middle of nowhere. I have a small number of colleagues all over the country in the world and a small number of students over the country that I communicate mostly via phone mostly everybody I see from the gym to the library are just casual acquaintances and no Muslims. I am hosting functions that are sometimes put on mine sometimes not and people rarely attend but we must keep doing things according to the old ways, the traditions in the strict ways to preserve and prepare the next generation and those want to benefit from we do it not for the people, but for the most high and the 14 to carry on the traditions and we asked the reward for this nor is this meant to brag rather it’s meant to say we are somewhat isolated. The closest what I would call functional community is four hours west eight hours east or six hours south.

So when I stop on here periodically throughout the day, it’s because I have a minute and I feel maybe doing something useful with my time. Usually we have religious activities working out financial or medical obligations, etc. so being that I find myself in a situation much like my brother Sayyid Muhammad Hussayn Hussayni Jalali the late of formally Iraq ithan Chicago I don’t need to come on here and people be unnecessarily rude so if I snapped, there’s a little bit mean or sounded hottie or arrogant and then I apologize, but I do not come on here for rude comments. I come on here only because I’m trying to do a service for Islam and resurrect a dying community that’s going further and further from what things were in the 6070s and 80s becoming less observing faster programs less strict less knowledge and culture being passed on and I’m not talking about anyone in particular I’m talking about the hold of North America and I’ve been doing enough places in North America. Then I can say it’s bad everywhere.

So let us try to deal with each other in the best way learn from each other in the best way and benefit each other in the best way

We have no idea who’s who on here because none of us can talk face-to-face. None of us are interact with each other so let’s give people the benefit of the doubt try to be polite and help one another so that we can help the cause and make way for our master, may his may, the kingdom of the Lord come in the will of the Lord be done through the master of the age

Take it easy brother, since you are teaching in a seminary you should not be triggered by such a light comment, which was not even directed at you.

Anyone with a pragmatic sense of humor will admit some rulings are a bit odd, and the one here is one of them.

Anyone will appreciate any effort you made here, just go easy with a brother who does not take everything as seriously as you do.

Brother, there’s some of the teacher teachers of the seminary were not known for patients or good temperament. I’m not naming names, but there’s a couple who are famous for their as you call. Very triggered reactions.

My family runs a small place as I said we have us all seminary. I have a few people that I talked to on the phone or online we are completely isolated. My situation is like the prophet Noah peace upon him very few people.

Generally, I don’t take jokes that lightly

I accept your point though

The rolling scene a bit odd if you look at them individually, for example, to get a full picture of the people of the book you have to look at about 100 verses in about 500 narration from the most directed to the most indirect

And beyond not having that much of a sense of humor and being somewhat serious, I can’t have a sense of humor. I do have hobbies such as comic fiction working out and hiking on that go go, go all the time most of the time, but not all the time.

I was dealing with some of my wife’s relatives who are from the family of the profits and are not being up to standard very difficult in managing them about music, cultural identity apparently, I’m a mean man who just ruins all their fun

I remember being in Georgia I wore the turban, but I was still young newly married. I was lecturing. I was doing a lot of things. One kid says to me he said you know you’re you’re a good guy. You have a good knowledge but you’re just too mean you’re just you make everything serious and not fun. You’re just another mean adult. I looked at him and said brother you’re five years older than me then he didn’t say anything so there’s a bit of humor for the day.

The Irish side of my bloodline allows for humor, the easier European side, opposes humor

The discussions on the difference between male, infant and female infant urine is very interesting. No general conclusion was made, except by the issue of maturity, or the issue of making them the same by rule of similarity and role of extension.

And I’ll maybe be 100 years from now so many things will come out scientifically will be like huh so that’s the deeper reasoning for that

Just like we washed our hands before and after eating before large portions of the world, did we washed fruits and vegetables before many places did so if you look at the Muslim and Jewish communities that did that during the black plague, they had lesser numbers than the communities that didn’t wash their hands

Time will tell
