Who was Imam Hassan Askari? Was he kept in captivity? Is he the father of Mahdi ((عليه السلام))? Is Mahdi ((عليه السلام)) already alive and in hiding or is he yet to be born?

He he was the 11th Imam appointed by Allah his leader of the Islamic community. His father was Imam Ali ibn Muhammad Al Hadi and his mother was either a North African or Arab slave wife. 
When he was maytred in 254 AH Imam Asariki assumed the divine Office.

He was on virtual house, arrest his entire six year Imamate. During that time he wrote 144 volume commentary on the Quran, which one volume has reached us he built the network of tax collectors and alms distributors. He built networks for Q&A, distributed, religious dissertations, and prepared the people with numerous narrations from himself and his forefathers about his son’s coming, his son’s life his son’s a quotation and his son’s return.
 

He himself is narrative, said very soon I have a son he will go into an occultation so long people will say he has never been born. Some people say he has died and some people say he’s never returning in that time. It is incumbent upon you too…., And there’s various forms for this narration that less six or seven, depending on the narration qualities of a jurist

Imam Mahdi as Himself appearance occurred in 255 AH his mother was either in east European slave, girl or Sudanese slave girl. The story about the princess of Rome has 11 weaknesses in the text. The primary narrator is completely unknown and most of the biographies and science of the narrator books I’ve looked through and their other narrators were a week known for mistakes, etc..
 

Imam Mahdi as is not on the green island that story is a story that we call atharat or statement and sometimes Qasadia or qasia being folklore legends stores. It was collected in the ocean of light because the author wanted to get everything on the topic he could get.
 

The authentic narrations were late. He’s living a life among the people. He goes to umrah and Hajj . He goes. For ziyarah in Karbala for Ashura and Arbaiin . He has houses in Mecca Medina Samara Karbala Qum Najaf etc He has said to move around a lot scholars in different people ever related being taken him and meeting with him in different cities, but not being able to find his particular house again.

It is related by the 6 L that he has always 40 friends with him whenever everyone dies another one is assigned

He may or may not have a wife or children Allah knows best.

He will return and roll 7 to 1900 years, depending on how you interpret the narration the first time until he is maytred. Then he will return back to life and pass the flag to 12 guided ones after him 12 Mahdi being prophet, Muhammad, peace, and blessings, be upon him up until Imam Asariki as after which shell rule the second time die a natural death and then it’s for narration is the universal end in between one hour and 40 days
