i make intesting animals pictures with Quranic Ayah, somethimes superheroes, sometimes images and landscapes with ayah super imposed. for example i have owl in reference to kamila ziyarah with 100x salam words once, ikhlas with male and female wolf touching noses, kawthar with two gorillas walking where it looks like one is whispering to other, and deadpool (for my son) on throne with ayah kursi, etc

i am not the best but maybe i will post when i figure out how.

Lastly, here is one of my favorite Islamic paintings. It is a painting of Shaykh Amadou Bamba, an Islamic saint and champion of Islamic nonviolence.

He led a nonviolent resistance against the French colonial occupation of Senegal in West Africa. His struggle was ultimately successful.

He chose a path of nonviolence even though many of his peers chose violence. He established an ascetic brotherhood of mystics.

The Mouride Brotherhood. They established very successful agricultural communities based on three principles:

1. Love: Loving Allah and the Shaykhs

2. Service: Work for Allah and for humanity

3. Knowledge: Love and work leads to the divine light of Allah and knowledge directly into the heart.

He transformed a tiny hamlet into a thriving and holy city called Touba with a very beautiful and detailed Masjid.

Needless to say, they achieved economic success by hard work and Halal income. Yet how did they resist the imperialist.

Amadou preached disobedience against the oppressive government and became a powerful enemy of his oppressor.

They tried to break his spirit, but he ended up performing miracles instead and Senegal achieved freedom.

This is often how I feel when praying Salah and seeking refuge from intense hatred through prayer.

Everything disappears around me and I am alone with Allah, floating on the sky or on a vast ocean.

Salah is the supreme escape from the Dunya. No matter where you are or your life situation:

Salah will give you a refuge from the Dunya and from all trials.

Your calligraphy pieces sound beautiful and really creative. At the moment I am trying to teach myself Shisha embroidery (mirror embroidery) from Youtube. It is relaxing to me. I want to create a piece of embroidery wall art once my practice pieces look right.
