I’ve been Shia for a few years now, and honestly, it’s been really hard. My family still doesn’t accept it, and it hurts. I’m tired of people just making duaa for me instead of actually trying to support or understand me.

I feel alone a lot of the time. Other times I feel okay, mostly because Allah gets me through. But lately, I’ve been feeling really disconnected—from the Shia community, from people who could relate, from the support I need.

It’s also been weighing on me how hard it is to even think about marriage when my family wouldn’t accept a Shia suitor.

I know this path isn’t easy, but it’s feeling extra heavy right now. If you’ve been through this or have any advice, I’d really appreciate it.

Salam

I know its painful for you, family is very important in every bodies life, to not accept your religion is a betrayal, because its very important part of your identity, What i would recommend is try to find a Shia mosque near you and see if you can find some other Muslimahs there or if not, try to find some online that can relate to you, Just remember, Imam Husayn (a) stood almost alone at Karbala, yet his truth endured. Your struggle echoes that resilience, even when support feels absent, you are walking a path of dignity, hold onto allah, He knows youre struggling and its hard, but patience is the answer

If possible what religion is your family? and Why dont they accept you?
