Yes, but, such dreams have signs that distinguish that the person is truly him or her and not a recollection of your memory about him or her.

One such sign is that they give you information which is based on previously or presently observed fact or information that which Prophet of Allah (PBUHHP) or his Ahlebait ((عليه السلام)) gave.

Salam it totally has positive interpretation however if you can do some good deeds or pay charity on behalf of dead person in order to thanksgiving & stopping few troubles.

Interpretation of Dreaming of a Dead Person from Imam Sadiq's Perspective ; Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) considers seeing a dead person in a dream to mean an advise and guide.

He believes that if you see a dead person talking to you in a dream, in reality he is advising and guiding you. If the dead person is sad and upset in a dream, it indicates that he needs prayers and good deeds. If the dead person is happy and joyful in a dream, it means that he is pleased with your actions and behavior. The crying of the dead person in a dream means his torment and hardship in the afterlife, and the laughing of the dead person in a dream indicates the forgiveness of his sins. Also, if you see a dead person arguing and struggling with you in a dream, it means that you have not carried out his will and have not fulfilled his rights.

Dream Interpretation of a Happy Dead Person
Seeing a happy dead person in a dream can indicate that you are getting rid of the anxiety and worries that you have in your daily life. This dream can be a sign that you are achieving inner peace and tranquility.

Seeing a happy dead person can also indicate that you are making progress and succeeding in life. This dream can be a sign that you are achieving your goals and dreams.

In some other cases, seeing a happy dead person in a dream can indicate receiving good news in the future. This dream can be a sign that you will encounter pleasant events in the future.

Interpretation of the dream of a dead person by Imam Sadiq (as):
Seeing a dead person in a dream is a sign of goodness and blessing. Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) said: “Seeing a dead person in a dream is a sign of goodness and blessing, and if the dead person wears white clothes in a dream, it is a sign that he will be in a state of happiness in the hereafter.”

Seeing a dead person in a dream is a sign of asking for prayers from the survivors. Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) said: “If the dead person gives you something in a dream, accept it from him, because it is a sign of asking for prayers from the survivors.”

In general, Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) divided the interpretation of the dream of a dead person into six aspects:

Salaam,

Sbout 8 years ago, I "dreamed" of my ex fiance who had passed away from a brain aneurysm in 2005.

We were in a dark green grassy field surrounded by hills. The area was illuminated by a light that emanated from everywhere, not from a single light source like we have of the sun. It was a beautiful golden orange color, the kind you see when the sun sets and makes everything glow..

He was much younger than he was when he was alive. He passed at 50 but was closer to maybe 30 during this experience. He didnt say anything to me, only smiled the biggest most beautiful smile, but the comfort and love that i felt is beyond what i can describe.

This was NOT a dream in the typical sense.. i have never experienced anything like this before nor after. It was beyond a dream in how real it felt.

At the time, i knew nothing about NDEs, but after spending the last few years learning about them in all manner, from the P.H.D.s who study thousands of experiencers accounts to the reports of average people who have had an nde, i intuitively feel that whatever realm an NDEr experiences, i wholeheartedly believe i somehow tapped into that same realm, even if just for a moment and without needing to come "near death" to do so. As far as i know, it happened during my sleep and wasnt due to any medical condition.

Dreams are amazing glimpses into what is beyond this physical realm. Im super happy you had the one you had.

Very beautiful dream. I also saw my Mom few months after passing away and in the dream she looked young and beautiful like I have never seen her before. I asked her what did you feel when you left us? She said that when she was about to leave she heard her father calling her who left this world many years before. She loved his father and always praised him. This dream revealed to me that such dream was true because of her love for her father during her entire life.

I felt very satisfied before that I was worried about my Mom. Perhaps this was her answer to my worry that she was at peace due to mercy of Allah (عزّ وجلّ).
