While Abidi does not necessarily represent saadat but jafri and shah do. Islam is meant to remove confusion among people, so people should adopt those titles which do not confuse others. That is my understanding of Islam.

Salam there is no problem about using all of these anyone by anyone which using "Jafri" and "Shah" or "Abidi" surnames for "Saadat" is a cultural matters which even using these surnames in Iran has not been limited to "Saadat" but when people hear such titles except that person will be from a religious  family which "Abedi" or "Jafari" are common surnames of religious families in Iran too whether they will be from "Saadat" or not from them which in similar fashion combination of "Shah"with Hussain or Reza  likewise "Shah Hosseini" shows that person comes from old religious family .

As an example

Alright, but Shah being of Persian root, I fail to see the direct connection to Ahlul Beit (a). What ligneage is claimed by using Shah as a name ?

I do not have any personal reservations for people using these titles, I spoke regarding avoiding confusion. Most of the time, people get confused when they meet a person having a title similar to other caste but he does not belong to that caste. It would be more appropriate to avoid confusion.

Salam however your good point about avoiding confusion in Islam ; but on the other hand respectfully there is no caste in Shia Islam which deeds of any person is louder than his title or surname which if someone has used customary title for Seyeds so then he must preserve duty & responsibility for using these titles & surnames .
