Salam Alaykum,

Im trying to figure out which choices are off limits when it comes to internships/early career choices. I do not want to contribute to political organizations that contribute to the oppression and war in middle eastern countries or for example large tech companies that fund Israel, but at the same time I feel like I should experience their high level tech solutions and learn from within their organizations in order to make a difference one day. I do not want to contribute to evil goals, but at the same time I realize I cannot contribute much if Im still learning.

A scholar once told me that the difference between us and the Jews is that we do not justify the means for the sake of the end. However, I struggle to see how we can learn from these evil companies without participating in them.

I want to be able to help and support Imam al Mahdi ajtf, in the right way. Please, help me.

Salaam Alaykum,

I don't know if you still looking for the answer, but I give you my advice anyway. If you looking for making a difference, it can happen in any company even startups. I worked at high tech companies, and it's not what other people think. My coworkers worked there just for the social status(show off) and the good income. Some of them were not doing a serious impact on science and technology or anything of that sort. Mostly looking for money and show off. There are lots of medical companies or companies in civil technology that you can work, learn, and contribute.

Another thing, don't think if you end up working in a small company, you waste your time. I've seen people from high tech companies at high positions leaving their jobs and going back to their own countries. They work in their own country at lower pay rate but contribute and make big changes. I mean it all depends on what you think and what your expectations are. Once you get something, you'll see it's not what you were thinking before.

Is there no possibility of being accepted in a small startup firm? I did my first internship there and it was rough as there aren't much resources to help, but you certainly will learn a lot if the company is serious about your internship. Plus because it's a startup, you will learn a lot of things the hard way(if you have no experience) and it will teach you to be more independent and learn how to adapt in a work environment without much help.

The problem is a lot of the big tech companies in the west are almost all complicit with Israel, especially the aerospace companies, avoid these at all cost.
