Should I move away from becoming an imam.

I am interested in studying web development and building myself some Islamic websites instead of seminary hawza I can't afford. I wish to contribute to the ummah so anything I do will be Islamic. I think I only have access to the needed education to learn development. What are your thoughts, what would you do.

You can Study at Al Hujjah Islamic Seminary, you call ask them to sponsor your classes, most of time they do.

Allah(سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) has a way of making ways for us in ways we never imagined. If in your heart of hearts, dedicating your life to the path of Islamic knowledge is what you want to do, make the efforts in that way and Allah(سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) will make it happen for you. Ive seen impossible situations practically miraculously made possible in ways no one couldve calculated. You just meed to be sincere and set out to do it.

The same thing is the case for your web idea. If that is what you truly want, then set course for it, trusting Allah(سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) will bring it to reality for you, as long as you do what youre able to do and believe fully and totally in Allah(سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) alone and that it us from Him that all help comes. (In other words, you cant just sit back in either scenario, make dua and expect it to happen with no effort on your part, lol) 

What you will find is that doors you didnt even know existed will suddenly appear and they will facilitate your journey no matter how ",impossible" the situation seems. Thats how powerful true tawheed and tawakul are.

Something I didn't mention in my last reply was that sometimes the things we want are not in our best interest somehow, even if they seem like they are the absolute best thing that we could do, and in this case, Allah(سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى)will bring about an outcome that is better for us but isn't what we were initially striving for, so part of submission to Allah is understanding that whatever the outcome is, it is THE best, even if it's not what we want.

Oftentimes in retrospect, we understand why even though what we wanted seemed very Noble and the best thing to do, that Allah not granting that was for our better in the end, so I don't want to make it seem like no matter what, Allah(سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) will grant whatever it is you want, because that's not necessarily true...the conditions are the ones I stated above but also to keep in mind that whatever the outcome is, you trust also trust completely that the eventual outcome will be THE best for you, whatever that outcome is.
