Canada - 51st State?

1. Does Trump have a point? Would Canadian resources be better protected from China and Russia as the 51st state.
2. Has Canada gotten off cheaply with the U.S. security umbrella? And is it time that Canadians had to pay through the nose for the US Army the way Americans have had to?
3. Since Canada was only too happy to help out with the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq - should they be subject to the same hegemonic mindset?

Yea agreed Canada at the very least need to pay a lot more for their own defense

all Americans should agree it’s time for Canadians to pay up and open their resources to the big brother

Canada is a vassal state of America unfortunatley. No American ally is sovreign, they're all vassals that can be easily crushed if America wished it. Canada already does most of the things America wishes, including invading Afghanistan, being pro israel, being anti Russia and anti China, etc...

So America demanding more from their vassal is like a master abusing their slave even more, it's a sad sight. 

 

If Canada were to become the 51st state, it would be better protected for sure as it will complicate things less, but Russia or china are not planning to invade Canada, so its pointless. No one is planning to invade Canada, America is not protecting anything here, other than if some missiles got flung at Canada, I assume americas AD systems might help out?

Salam this is neither about defense from Canda nor invading of russia & China but on the othe hand it's about creating a rival corridor for "Ovoot-Erdinet and the Northern Railway Corridor"& "International North–South Transport Corridor"(INSTC) through Canada & Iceland for  economic war of corridors between America & alliance of Russia & China which this nonsense about protection of Canada or threat of invading of russia & China is just a propaganda by Trump to hide it's main goal for creating a rival economic corridor through Canada & Iceland against the "Ovoot-Erdinet and the Northern Railway Corridor"

This is the price of subservience. Trumpers don't realise that they get benefits for getting "exploited" (as they see it).

Examples: 

• Japan was subservient when it signed the Plaza accord. They harmed themselves to help America.
• Germany switched to US gas after shunning Russia and it costs them more.

Trump is good at weakening the US quicker.

Germany and Japan are just controlled by overwhelming US military power. They are not natural allies.

I would argue Germany, and Russia are more natural allies
