Salam this is  custom about preparing a sweet dish and offer it to the Imam for celebration of death of their enemies so therefore you can make & eat it even during your menses .

I want to know the philosophy behind the Kunday niaz (offering) which is given all over my country in the months of Rajab and Sha’ban.
question
In the months of Rajab and Sha’ban all over my country the Kunday niyaz (offering) is held, now I want to know the philosophy behind this action. Also, some claim that Yazid or some of the enemies of Ahlul-bayt (عليه السلام) died and to celebrate their death this function is held. I have read a tradition from the sixth Imam where he says that if you want to fulfill any needs then one must prepare a sweet dish and offer it to the Imam. Can you please provide me with some details on this?

such offerings have more to do with customs prevailing in a society rather than any specific religious doctrines.

3. As for the death of some of the enemies of Ahlul-Bayt (عليه السلام) in the said months, you are requested to refer to index “Nazr of Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) in Rajab” question 14640.

4. What has been claimed to be a saying from Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) was not found in hadith (textual) sources but it is, generally speaking, one of the desirable Islamic acts to feed and make happy one’s brethren in faith. Imam Baqir (عليه السلام) says:

“God, the Glorified and Exalted, loves shedding blood (of a sacrifice) and giving of food.”

This Islamic tradition can take place in different ways; it can be in the form of giving food to others or in the form of a nazr (vow) etc.[3]

There is no mention of Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) vowing for the 22nd of Rajab in the hadith sources. Yes! Sheikh Mufid, in his book Masar al-Shi’ah, considers this day a day of joy for the believers, due to the coincidence of this day with the death of one of the enemies of the Ahl al-Bayt (عليه السلام). [1] Sheikh Mufid is also quoted in his book Iqbal al-A’mal as saying that it is recommended to fast on the 22nd of Rajab in gratitude for the death of one of the enemies of the Ahl al-Bayt (عليه السلام). [2] Of course, it is worth mentioning that the 22nd of every month is a blessed and auspicious day. For more information on this matter, you can refer to question 13395 (site: 12992) (Good and auspicious days for work and effort).
