Hello ! I live in an Eastern European country which has only one mosque in the capital, I was interested in Islam in college, I went to a Sunni prayer house, converted but didn't have practice that much, i went Friday went I got time, but didn't have enough support and went back to Christianity, after some years I regained a lot of interest in Twelver Shia since I always liked their practices and theology, I began to read the Holy Quran and al Nahg Al Balaga. I have a rug and I can relearn the prayers in Arabic. It is possible to practice like this ? Even in this condition I'm motivated. Ramadan is in March and I'm eager to give it a try. Any advice?

Salam welcome to Islam my dear brother :cuddle: yeah you can practice like this condition which if you want to follow Shia procedure you just need to put your forehead in prostration on allowed materials , inshaAllah we will have a prosperous month of Ramadan inshaAllah.

The Shi'ah for a long time have kept this earth with them. Then, fearing that it might be desecrated, they kneaded it into small tablets or pieces, which are now called mohr or Turbah. During prayers we prostrate on it not as a compulsory act but in view of its special nature. Otherwise, when we have no pure soil with us, we prostrate on clean earth, or something that originates from it.

Salam,

Yes, you can practice alone at home. It's not compulsory to attend mosque, not even on Fridays.
