Anyone have "New Year's Resolutions", goals, or guidance?

I usually have some, but this year I'm drawing a blank. The things I'm working toward are in progress already, and the others are too far out to plan.

Goals can be built at any time. It is not an obligation.

What would you like to accomplish and how do you plan to achieve it?

These are great goals. Duas for your success.

Except the eating one. With regard to food, duas that you are healthy and satisfied, and never suffer lack of food that pleases you.

I think I'll make a new year goal of teaching my youngest son to read. Whether he learns or not is outside my control, but the effort is within my control, and worst case, I'll spend some extra time with him.

I don't know what the bigger L here is.

The faajir 'Muslim' husband marrying an atheist kaafirah, or the smooth-brained atheist wife gushing over religious iconography gifted by her husband.

And the reel is made by a 'Muslim' merch seller company.

Don't trust anything simply because it has an 'islamic' label.

I stopped making those. Doesn't work for me.

This year I'll just go with the drift.

May you continue to be fully content with your life.  :)

Not at all content, but I have been worried and anxious about the state of affairs for a long while. I thought I should try letting go and see where life takes me. Somewhat like how the more a drowning person or the one trapped in a quagmire struggles, the more he goes down.

So your plan is to... not plan.

Learning to go with the flow is a valuable life skill. I read an anonymous quote: "If you don't know what to pursue in life right now, pursue yourself. Pursue becoming the healthiest, happiest, most healed, most present, most confident version of yourself. Then the right path will reveal itself." It seems sensible.

I'm at a point in which I can create goals and change them as needed without feeling as much guilt or stress about the change. Insh'Allah you will get there too, if that is what is best for you.

To be flexible about the plans.

After taking time off from school for my mental health, I’m finally in my teaching credential program! I’m currently student-teaching 4th grade. Next term, I’ll be teaching K-2nd grade. I’m very excited for this new chapter in my life!

Alhamduliah i completed my ummrah yesterday night, feeling so grateful and blessed to have this grace from Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) to have had the opportunity to complete ummrah during this month of Rajab.

And today we went to the cemetery where Abu Talib, Khadijah, the parents of our beloved prophet along with his sons Qasim & Abdullah alyhim alsalam and many others are buried. Anyways on the way in the taxi from where we were staying to the cemetery i saw the clock tower with the mountains infront of it i didn't have enough time to take a photo but omg the view looks exactly like the Demon/evil tower in lord of the rings... i honestly don't believe this is a coincidence  !

I finally reached my goal weight! It took 8-9 months to lose 52-53 pounds. My BMI is now 21. I’m fitting into my old clothes and look like “myself” again.

I am very happy.
