To some Muslims supporting the protests in Turkey currently:

Yes, I dislike Erdogan. Many of us do. Yes, he can often be a hypocrite. However, Erdogan at the very least is overtly pro-Palestine, even if only in rhetoric, and he has openly praised Hamas. Additionally, he benefits the interests of the Muslims in Turkey.

The protests ongoing currently, which are anti-Erdogan and pro-Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu, are not a positive development, especially if you're a Resistance supporter.

In 2024, Imamoglu called Hamas a 'terrorist organization', and said the October 7th attack 'deeply saddened him'. Additionally, Imamoglu is part of the CHP party, Turkey's 'Republican People's Party', which is known to be Kemalist and highly secular in nature.

We need to be mature and realize that while Erdogan can be heavily criticized, his deposal may not be a positive thing at all, and could put an even worse political force in power.

I will stick by this, the Middle East has had far too many 'mindless revolutions'.

Simply overthrowing someone we don't like, without thinking about a viable future alternative, is an extremely stupid thing to do.

As much as I hate erdogan, he's making a good point here, were being put in a disgusting moral dilemma, on one hand erdogans government is commiting massacres on Syrian minorities and the opposition to erdogans opinion on Syria is not really known, some like kevork claiming he's better than erdogan on Syria, but on the other hand, the opposition of erdogan is going to suck up to Israel and America even more than erdogan. I can't beleive I'm considering having to defend that peice of swine, he's even worse than bashar or gaddafi combined.

إذا سألوني عن حالتي ، وحاولت عذرا فلم يمكن

أقول: بخير ولكنه ، كلام يدور على الألسن

Thinking you are better than you are, might lead you to underestimating, not overestimating your abilities. If you assume you are doing more than most or all, you will then underestimate others, who might be doing 10x, 100x, even 1000x you or more, and you might not realise you can do that 10x, 100x, 1000x which you had before not thought possible because you assumed you were close to the ceiling and better.  Humility, instead of arrogance, is the key to being the strongest, most powerful version of yourself.

I had broken my Iphone (old second hand but still good to use). I didn't want to pay to get my screen fixed, so ordered the parts on Amazon fearing how i would do it. I managed to actually fix it, and learned a useful skill, and then ordered a battery (safe one as they can catch fire) twice as powerful as a new one would have been on a new phone.

Instead of paying 600-900 pounds/dollars on a new phone, i've renewed my own Phone for about 50-60 dollars/pounds.

Push yourself in life, stretch yourself outside of your comfort zone in sensible and measured ways, don't be afraid to fail in a controlled fashion.

Take on the hardest tasks you have each day and face them first thing - you'll notice what you feared might well be difficult, and challenging, but a lot less of that dragon in that cave, than you thought, and merely shining a light on it and attacking it makes endless fear more a controlled , tough, battle.

If you don't attack it, it will chase you, and by that time it may well be what you fear.

This Life is Not Worth It – A Reminder from Reality

Sometimes, life hits you with a truth so raw, it shakes your soul. I knew this muslim girl young (25-28) beautiful, full of life. The kind of girl who lit up every room she walked into with her glam and style. Always out with friends, dining at the best places, living what many would call the "dream life." Popular, loved, admired. But in December 2024, she passed away. Just like that.

And now, only a few months later... life moves on. Her name barely comes up. People who once surrounded her with love and attention have gone back to their routines. Parties. Laughter. Selfies. Like she never existed.

And that’s when it hits you.
This dunya is so fake. So temporary. So unworthy.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
*“Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveler.”* (Bukhari)

This world isn’t our home. It’s not meant to fulfill us. It was never supposed to be the source of our happiness. Yet we spend so much of our time chasing people, love, status, and wealth and then stress ourselves sick when things don’t go our way.

We cry over relationships, we feel worthless when people leave, we obsess over material things that will mean nothing in our grave.
But what will matter?
Our prayers. Our kindness. The secret good deeds no one sees. The way we treat others. The way we treat ourselves.

So be kind to yourself. Don’t let this world break you. Don’t stress over people who might not even remember you when you're gone.
Instead, pour your energy into things that will benefit you when you return to Allah.

Let your heart be busy with dhikr. Let your hands give. Let your words heal. Let your silence be wise. Live this life knowing that none of it really lasts — except what is done for the sake of Allah.

And remember:
Even the most unforgettable people will be forgotten. But those who live for Allah — their legacy never dies.

I live in one of the hottest countries in the world, the electricity bills either will be increased or there will be a shortage. Pls pray for me

First time I visited one of the GCC countries, it was summer. Airport had nice AC, so I didn't feel anything. The moment exit door opened to leave the airport, a flow of hot air slammed my face and I went inside the airport again :). I told myself:" you can do it. Just get a taxi then you have AC again". And I DID IT.

Had my yearly appraisal at work today.

Despite having everything in order, I still felt incredibly nervous.

As a sinner and genuinely flawed slave, it terrifies me to think I will have to stand before God and account for every deed I have done.

Losing hope in the Mercy of Allah is a bigger sin, but this is a wake up call to account before the account comes.

Please pray Al Fatiha for my cousin Ali, he passed away yesterday. He unfortunately wasn't raised in an Islamic environment because my uncle wasn't involved in most of his life. So he wont be getting an Islamic burial and instead probably a Christian one as his mother is danish.

Ive tried speaking with her but to no avail, she will not budge. i feel sorry for him as i fear for his hereafter.

You have tried your best brother.

The real point of impact is during his life, and now it's all up to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) once the soul has passed the throat.

May Allah give you and his family strength during his passing, give us a shout if you need a brother to share anything with.

May allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) have mercy on him, you did what you could brother, leave the rest to allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى). My mother best friend converted to islam because she loved a muslim man, she was 18 years old. Unfortunately she did not get married because she was from different nationality while he khaleeji. But she was attached to Islam and died as a Muslim woman, however her sister buried her as a christian and her daughter didn't visit her grave since 16 years ago.

Good news, joe biden(la) has a severe form of cancer.

*commits genocide and does fasad on this planet.

*allows israel to destroy the last cancer hospital in gaza.

*Gets cursed by Allah(سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) with a severe form of prostate cancer that I heard spread to his bones.

May Allah(سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) give this opressor all the pain in this world and the next.

Nothing will last- relations, wealth, reputation, nothing. Everything will have to be left behind.

May Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) make the passage easy for us.

Joined late dec 2023 seeking help on divorce. Fast forward to 2025 i married the cop who helped me get my ex to divorce me. It was hard and complicated but by the grace of Allah we did it !! no fancy wedding but a marriage worth a million dimes :). Alot of times we get blinded by the bad that we don't see the good that's coming after. trust the process.

Alhamdulilah
