How Long Does it Take to Hear Back from the Office of a Marja

Salaam,  I reached out to a Marja's office with a question about how to pay khums from the USA a couple of weeks ago and have not heard back. How long does it typically take to hear back? This is my first time doing this so I have no idea what to expect.

I've emailed Sayed Ali Sistani office long ago a question about expiation, still haven't received a response yet.

I suppose it may depend on how busy he is or how often the office staff members pass the questions to him.

Unfortunately I don't know how long it may take.

Anyone else who asked question and got response from Marja maybe able to give more accurate answer.

My marja is Ayatollah Khamenei. For me leader.ir/en usually takes 3 to 5 days. Sometime it will take just a day or even less. Sometime it can take a month (only to then be labeled as "no answer" lol)

Though thats apparently the english office, i heard some office is different? Idk

Thank you. I have not heard back from mine. Maybe someone here can answer the question. I am just wondering how to send zakat and khums to Ayatollah Khamenei from United States.

Just wondering, what website did you use? And do you use the istifta or the contact us page?

That's strange. Usually Ayatollah Makarem (ha)'s office replies in a week.

Chances are that if you are asking them about something related to Sayyid Khamenei (ha)'s taqleed, they'll understandably decline to answer. That's something you'll have to take up with his office.

Maybe you could try routing it to his Qom office through someone you know who studies there, a third party.
