Salam Muslims brothers,

I hope you all are doing good. I am a doctor which suggests that I can do critical thinking. 24 y/o ; have practiced Brarelvism atleast for good 19 years. After that I started reading, thinking and reading more.

Even reading Bukhari shreef forced me to think Ali (عليه السلام) was Imam and all. I need books on Shia beliefs etc more.

Somethings are too obvious that in the hatred of Ali (عليه السلام) ahadees were innovated plus Abu Talib ((عليه السلام)) and Khadija ((عليه السلام)) were sidelined from the history. I can't stand ahadees in Banu UMMAYA's Fazeelat.

But, Would everything be ok If,

I don't to Matam I be Sad and cry but cutting me and all I don't like it.

Or Abusing first 3. I think somethings should be left to God as Ali (عليه السلام) pledged his alligence after sometime. Yes, We should discuss about Ummayads and Abbasids who damaged religion.

And I would say mere Ya Allah Madad and I don't like Biddats that was the reason I left Bravelism.

I want to pray solely to my God, Send Durood on Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and showing+ acknowledge Ahle Bait.

I need guidance as I am confused, puzzled. Slight resistance from family n friends and much more.

Plus I wanna read about Imams more.

Friends help me out.

Thanks

Salam & welcome :cuddle:

cutting yourself aka Tatbir or  Qama Zani. in Persian which it  has been forbidden by majority of Shia Marjas as a disturbing innovation which you can find their rulings against it  here https://tatbir.org/

Quote

TATBIR

A Disturbing Innovation
"Become an ornament for us, do not be a disgrace for us."
~ Imam al-Sadiq (a) ~
"Look at the people of the Prophet's family. Adhere to their direction. Follow their footsteps because they would never let you out of guidance, and never throw you into destruction. If they sit down, you sit down, and if they rise up you rise up. Do not go ahead of them, as you would thereby go astray and go not lag behind them as you would thereby be ruined."
~ Imam Ali (a) ~

This is forbidden by majority of Shia marjas especially by both of Imam khamenei & grand Ayatollah Sistani although criticizing & questioning deeds of  first 3 through respectful & rational argument has no problem but on the other hand abusing them has been forbidden .

Ayatollah Khamenei’s fatwa: Insulting the Mother of the Faithful Aisha is prohibited
Jun 11, 2016
Ayatollah Khamenei issued a decree wherein he prohibited insult towards Aisha, the wife of Prophet Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)), and any of the figures and symbols celebrated by Sunni brethren.

as Ali (عليه السلام) pledged his alligence after sometime.

Ali ('a) and the Bani Hashim did not take the oath of allegiance immediately. Sunni historians have written that Ali ('a) offered his allegiance after the demise of Fatimah ('a). It is reported by them2 that Ali ('a) offered his allegiance after Fatimah's death. Some of the Sunni ulema believe that Fatimah ('a) died 75 days after the Prophet's death. Ibn Qutayba also holds the same view, but most of the historians claim that she died six months after the Prophet died.

It follows, therefore, that Ali's allegiance came sometime after 3 to 6 months of the Prophet's death. Mas'udi in his Muruj as-sahab, Volume I, page 414, says “None of the Bani Hashim swore their allegiance to Abu Bakr until the death of Bibi Fatimah”

Ibrahim Ibn Sa'd Saqafi narrates from Zuhri that Ali ('a) did not pay allegiance until six months after the Prophet's death, and the people did not have the courage to pressure him except after the death of Bibi Fatimah ('a). Ibn Abu al-Hadid in Sharh an-Nahj ul-Balagha relates the same fact.

In any case, the Sunni ulema insist that Ali's (‘a) allegiance was not immediate but came only after some time had passed and then only when circumstances forced him to do so (which is not a true or valid allegiance).

‘Aisha said: “Ali did not offer allegiance to Abu Bakr for six months, and no one of the Bani Hashim offered allegiance until Ali did”3

Zuhri said: “Ali did not swear allegiance until six months after the Prophet's death”4

Here are twelve proofs that Ali’s allegiance was taken not willingly but forced.

(1) Abu Ja'far Baladhuri Ahmad Ibn Yahya Ibn Jabir Baghdadi, one of the reliable Sunni traditionists and historians, writes in his History that when Abu Bakr called Ali ('a) to swear allegiance, Ali ('a) refused. Abu Bakr sent Umar who went with a torch to set fire to Ali's (‘a) house. Fatimah ('a) came to the door and said: “O son of Khattab! Have you come to set my house on fire?” He said: “Yes, this is more effective than anything your father did”

Imam Ali (عليه السلام) never pledged allegiance to any Caliph because it is well-documented fact that Imam Ali (عليه السلام) refused to follow the sunnah of the two caliphs before him during the election of third Caliph. So, if Imam Ali (عليه السلام) would have paid allegiance to them, people would have argued with him as to why he disagrees on following the Sunnah of earlier two Caliphs during the election of 3rd Caliph.

Abusing is haram in Islam, but the earlier three caliphs damaged the Islam as did the Ummayads and Abbasids. If they had agreed upon the Ahlebait's right upon Caliphate, the Ummayads and Abbasids would not have existed.

so those are the right  kind of alims to follow.

I would add to that list Maulana Ali Reza Rizvi,  Ammar Nakshwani, and Ayatullah Panahian.
