I felt kind of shocked that the OP asked the question and ChatGPT, out of several monotheistic prophets available, chose our Prophet Muhammad SA.

Salam ,Yeah it knows which country you are located which for example it's not available directly for countries likewise Iran which using it in Iran needs using fake virtual numbers in order to register you as someone out of Iran which also  gives answers based on information which has been stored during registration & your location & IP range.

Possibly it's due to previous activity of some muslim users which there is a screen captures which a muslim (Sunni) user has tried to force Chatgtp to give Shahada .
