Is genshin impact halal or haram?

I want to re-install and play this game called Genshin Impact, but I deleted it before because it had a mecanic where you “worship” a statue to increase your stamina and get some rewards. There are also gods in the game. I searched online and it all said haram because of the “worshiping” and “gods”. I believe in none other than Allah and I fully know that this is JUST a game and I absolutely do not believe in any of its “gods”. Can I still play it or is it shirk?

I have not gone through any fatwa by a Marja but the common sense suggests that you should not play this game because it contains ideas and beliefs which are against Islamic ideas and beliefs because if one shows flexibility to this content he might also show flexibility to the more serious content as well. It is, therefore, necessary to avoid such things. I am also a video game enthusiast and I also have given up playing games which are contrary to our belief system such as playing God of war and so on. 

I hope someone will also share with you the fatwa of a Marja.

It’s best not to play this game because it involves acts like worshipping statues and mentioning other gods, which goes against our belief that there is no God but Allah. Even if it's just a game, it’s important to avoid anything that conflicts with our faith. Staying away from such games will help keep your beliefs strong.
