Hey could someone please help find a source for this.

Salam this story although cursed Shimr has been one of Khawarij in battle of Nahrawan which original story is about releasing cursed Mawan ibn Hakam after battle of Jamal when he complained about tying his wrist so then asked making allegiance again with Imam Ali (عليه السلام) which Imam Ali (عليه السلام) has not accepted his allegiance & called him someone with jewish hand who breaks any allegiance but he has been released from captivity by order of Imam Ali (عليه السلام) which Sayed Ammar has replaced name of  cursed Shimr  instead of his cursed name of in his story.

Ameerul Momeneen ((عليه السلام).) said about Marwan that his hand is a Jewish hand. Mustadrak as-Saheehayn by Al-Hakim al-Nisaburi Volume-4 Page-479.

Marwan Ibn al-Hakam was open enemy against Ahlulbayt upto the extend that when the news of the killing of Imam Hussain reached Madina he went on the Pulpit and faced the Prophet’s Shrine and said “This is against what you did against us in Badr . (Yaumun Ka Yaum Badr) as you killed us in Badr we have killed your Grandson Husain, this is in Murooj al-Thahab by Al-Mas’oodi.

Quote

In the Battle of Jamal, Marwan was taken captive together with 'A'isha, 'Amr b. 'Uthman, Musa b. Talha, and 'Amr b. Sa'id b. Abi l-'As, but Imam Ali (a) granted amnesty to them.[18] However, according to some sources, Marwan escaped to Syria after the escape of his companions towards the end of the battle.[19]

In the Battle of Siffin, Marwan stood against Imam Ali (a) in Umayyad army.[20] In this battle, Mu'awiya asked Marwan to stand against Malik al-Ashtar and fight with him but Marwan refused and brought an excuse.[21] According to a report, after the battle, Imam (a) granted amnesty to them. Marwan gave allegiance to Imam (a), returned to Medina and settled there.[22]
