Salam yeah education is free in hozah ilmia qom  although you must consider some points which you can see it in

Howza Life | English

preliminaries

this course in the new curriculum of the field last six years. [4] The main goal of this course is to teach Arabic literature (syntax, meaning and expression, etc.) The language of the Qur'an" as well as a preliminary introduction to jurisprudence and the principles of jurisprudence.

Sat'h
This stage includes 7th to 10th grades.

level in the new educational system of the field
Level courses in the new educational system of the field last for four years. During these four years, Sheikh Ansari's book of jurisprudence is taught. In the first two years, Sheikh Ansari's "Fara'id al-usul" and in the last two years, Akhund Khorasani's book "Kifayat al-usul" on the principles of jurisprudence is presenting to the students.

The following goals are pursued in this course:

Quote

Increasing the ability to understand jurisprudence and fundamental texts
Getting to know the methods of inference from verses and hadiths
Reading a complete course of jurisprudence and principles
Deepening the opinions and expanding general knowledge of students through general courses
The main courses in the intermediate level are jurisprudence and principles of jurisprudence

Kharij
Main article: Kharij lesson
Some students of religious sciences finish their studies after completing the Sat'h stage, but those who seek to acquire a higher level of knowledge and achieve the status of ijtihad, enter the Kharij stage.[10]

Quote

This stage is considered to be the highest course of seminary courses, which is held with the aim of becoming a mujtahid in the fields of jurisprudence and principles and the ability to derive rulings from authentic sources (books, traditions, intellect, consensus) and usually does not have a special text. The professors who teach abroad are not known mujtahids or religious authorities; They do not teach a specific book, but they design the topics of each session to express their opinions along with examining the opinions of their past mujtahids, but to maintain order, they have presented the following course of studies.[11]

Since reaching the power of ijtihad depends on the talent and personal effort of people, therefore the time of this course is different for people.

Specialized courses

Quote

In recent years, the specialized fields of interpretation, kalam and tabligh have been formed along with jurisprudence and principles, which train specialists and researchers in those fields. The purpose of these courses - which have been started under the titles of interpretation, theology, propaganda, etc. - is to train experts in specific fields needed by the field and society. This valuable work makes a person, in addition to ijtihad in jurisprudence and principles, to become proficient in one of the fields of Islamic sciences, so that he can be a source of useful services in the field and society; Not that after spending a long time to study, he doesn't get a good result. [source needed]

Minor or general courses

Quote

In the seminary of Qom and in some cities, at the same time as the preliminaries and Sat'h  courses, lessons are taught under the titles of beliefs, interpretation, economics, Milal and Nihal, Quranic sciences, ethics, etc., which contribute to the intellectual development of students and the expansion of scientific information. They are effective. Although these lessons are necessary, they are not considered an independent stage in the courses of the field. [source needed]

Abolqasem Alidoust, one of the professors of the Kharij course of jurisprudence and Usul in Qom seminary, has considered the maximum time required to attend in Kharij  course to be about 12 years. Kharij professors often do not manage to teach a full course of Kharij jurisprudence. The duration of teaching a course of Kharij  of the principles of jurisprudence varies according to the type of teaching and professor, and sometimes it lasts from 4 years to 20 years.

@Ashvazdanghe Salam brother, is there or is there not a waiting list? And how long is it? Because someone told me there was although when I contacted an organization that helps North Americans into hawza it was apparent that a waiting list wasn’t part of the discussion at all.

Can you tell me more about Kharij lessons? Are there optional subjects in it? Or studying Fiqh (Jurisprudence) is the only option?

What if a person like me wants to specialize in things like economics (Islamic Economics, Business, Finance).

Salam

The lesson out. the highest level courses seminary is.   traditionally this period, initiates after a two-periods of basic & Sat'h (level) . The Kharij lesson is  Focus point of , providing the latest scientific achievements of Masters, and also an opportunity to learn methods of Ijtihad and kneaded in it.

I can be thus defined: "the presentation of argumentative lessons, etc. without relying on a particular text." In this classroom, master discusses about different opinions about a topic ,so    recounts   and criticises evidences of it, and, in the end, considers his offers.[۱]

Quote

The term "Kharij lesson" refers  when the "Kharij lesson" is not text-centered and the lesson is presented by the teacher outside of a specific text, or based on the order of a specific text, the content outside the text is taught at a specialized level; It is called the Kharij lesson.

The purpose of the Kharij lesson
Some students of religious sciences finish their studies after completing the level stage, but those who seek to acquire a higher level of knowledge and reach the level of ijtihad, enter the Kharij stage.[4]

New topics in the Kharij lessons
In recent years, due to new and emerging issues, some professors proposed discussions in the Kharij lessons that had no history before, or if they have been discussed, they have been briefly discussed in other chapters. As an example, the jurisprudence of (Ghana) music, the jurisprudence of sculpture, the jurisprudence of governance and Wilayat Faqih, the jurisprudence of virtual space, the governance of virtual space, etc. have been formed.

About things like economics martyr Muhammad Baqir sadr has talked briefly about it in his book "Iqtisaduna"(our economics) which unfortunately after his martyrdom his work about economics has remained unfinished which inshaAllah his work about economics will be revived by new generation of Shia scholars likewise  you inshAllah.

Quote

The book was written in Arabic between 1960 and 1961, and published in 1982. It was al-Sadr's main work on economics and one of his most significant works, and still forms much of the basis for modern Islamic banking.[2][3] The first translation into English was done in 1982 by the Iranian government and after that the book was translated into German in 1984 by a young German orientalist.[1][4]
