Umrah Kaffara question - Traveling when rain at night

Assalam Alaikum,

 

If i am performing Umrah and i am in the state of Ihram and it rains.

Do you know if it is raining and I am traveling by car (covered vehicle) at night in the state of Ihram.  Do I need to pay Kaffara of one goat? And can we pay kaffara later or have to pay before removing Irham?
