Yeah, came here to see everyone's thoughts about Galant.  From Galant's interview it sounded like he was in favor of keeping the war going as long as needed (said the IDF is ready and able to bear the burden), but he also wanted to pass a law forcing all to serve (including the religious exempted youth), and lastly he sounded like he wanted to get the hostages back - though I don't know if that means he wanted to so militarily, or he wanted a negotiated hostage exchange.

I saw one of the Indian News channels on YouTube (that typically have horrible click bait headlines) saying that Israel has pulled a few brigades back in Lebanon and is looking for a truce with Hizbollah.  Not sure if true.  Supposedly Trump told Bibi that he wanted the war ended within a week of him getting into office.

He said he wanted painful confessions, non millitary way of getting the hostages back, in other words they lost.

Yes Israel pulled out another few brigades. Israel has retreated most of its brigades from Lebanon, they retreated from my village for example since 8 days now when they retreated most of them.

Kan Hebrew Channel:

"The Chief of Staff approved the expansion of the ground operation in southern Lebanon"

Israel is potentially going to send way more terrorists to Lebanon to try and invade way deeper or use the full might of their 70k terrorists at the border.

This will result in Israeli terrorists getting way more casualties and getting the Vietnam treatment.

@Hasani Samnani i'm curious on your thoughts on this, why theyre sending more now after razing villages to the ground and pulling back? Especially after saying for weeks and even today that they were near an agreement to pull back out of Lebanon and have a settlement. These fruit cakes are funny.

Perhaps Gallant pushed Natanyahu not to expand and now Natanyahu got his way.

Israel attacks UN Peacekeepers, UNIFIL in South Lebanon. Then uses the peacekeepers as human shields.

Of course, this is not reported on any of the mainstream media

MUST WATCH: Israeli soldiers in the north document the launch of a large barrage of rockets on Haifa and the Krayot from border villages in southern Lebanon (which the Israeli army said it occupied and photographed) from more than one launcher.

In the video, a soldier says to the other, “We cleaned [from Hezbollah] this area, how could this happen?” The other soldier asks, “How did we clean it?” He says, “Don’t you know how we cleaned it?” The other soldier then continues with insults.

Israel set to start the second phase of ground operations in Lebanon.

The israeli military announces the expansion of the ground operation in Southern Lebanon.

The 36th Division has begun expanding the ground operation towards new areas on the second village line in southern Lebanon.

The aim of the second stage of operations is to eliminate Hezbollah’s rocket and missile capabilities.

@DDGropolitics

You guys seeing this? Keep this in mind for when Israel fasley claims "our operations are nearing their end stages".

Nope, new goal dropped by katz himself:

https://t.me/warmonitors/30615

Israeli Chief of Staff was surprised by the goal set by the Minister of Defense for the northern war, which is to disarm Hezbollah - watch his reaction

Forget about disarming hezbs missiles, they want now to disarm hezb as a whole, not even the chief of staff could have thought of something this insane as a goal. They can't even disarm hamas, even in the west bank.

Ok so they killed hezbollahs media relations mohammad afif. This is proof they're loosing badly, they're afraid of his words, that's how bad they're loosing, to the point that they have to take it out on someone who speaks against them with words.

They did it in the sunni area of beiruit, probably to cause sectarian issues.

This kind of reasoning isn't new in Israel too, I've seen Israelis make this argument in 2021 too, where they would show a village in southern lebanon named "al yahudiyah" for example and claim "see? Jewish roots", ignoring the fact that people move overtime, ignoring the fact that this land claim argument based on who lived there thousands of years ago without having proof as to what property they owned is ridicilous, it's why it was ridicilous to ethnically cleanse the Palestinians for some ridicilous argument about your 3000 year old ancestors living there.

My village alone, had a neighboring half christian half Jewish village and they were free to live there. They probably left to move somewhere overtime, which is what people do and now there are no christians or jews there. It's ridicilous to think people live in specific places for 3000 years, this is stupid.

Essentially they're trying to make the same stupid argument they made about claiming palestinine, to southern lebanon and they won't stop until they have greater Israel, if it means making ridicilous arguments like this and making stuff up.

Alright, this night in Lebanon has been intense.

Israel seems to have suffered a major defeat in khiam, this battle has been reportedly bigger than the war of 2006 combined.

28 drones confirmed on Israeli terrorists in khiam.

Al Jazeera who is unreliable claims that a hezbollah millitant blew himself up and killed a lot of idf terrorists. If this is true, it would be a first since decades and would be a major event.

Hezbollah and idf terrorists clashed for hours and hours, Israel describing the event as chaotic for its terrorists to the point where they couldn't bring helicopters to the village.

The line of communications was cut between Israel and the Golani terrorist brigade. Proving further how serious this situation is.

Hezbollah launched rockets into kyriat shmona to stop reinforcements.

And what does Israel do after all that?

Level six buildings in beiruit and slaugther a lot of civilians.

Edit: Correction it might be 1 building that got leveled. It was 5 airstrikes.

Edit2: its 5 buildings that collapsed.

No update so far, this is not looking good. They're suspecting a massive amount of dead under the rubble.

They're claiming the target was Talal Hamiyeh, who is a senior commander in hezb. This however remains to be unverified, so take it with a grain of salt.

The initial toll was 4 martyrs and 32 injured. It hasn't been updated since hours, which is why I have a bad feeling about this. These buildings they hit are in a place that is notoriously the most crowded in beiruit.

This is the aftermath now that the sun has risen:

Informed sources told Al Mayadeen that reports regarding the targeting, assassination, or martyrdom of any Resistance commander during the Israeli aggression on the al-Basta area in central Beirut on Saturday dawn are unfounded.

The source added that there were no Resistance figures present in the targeted building.

So far, the Israeli raid, the eighth one on the capital since Oct. 2024, has resulted in the martyrdom of 14 civilians and injured over 70 others.

There is a more worrying development. Israel is trying to encircle hezb on the naqoura front in order to use the highway and reach Tyre city?

But i don't think that will be easy given that highway has villages near it and many hezb reinforcements and could be detonated to not allow Israeli soldiers to cross it.

They certainly didn't use the highway in the naqoura front and instead decided to go around the villages and are now attacking a village bordering the sea.

These are probably scouting operations, because they're overstretching their forces here.
