Bismillah,

This Biography isn't just a generic one. It addresses a lot of the Khurafat, nonsense normally spouted in biographies , and it is very contemporary and delivered without a filter or sectarian bias. 

It is a twenty part biography series, and translated with subtitles, from one of the most sincere and knowledgeable Alims in my view today, and arguably the only person i would trust a Seerah of the Prophet from among us Shia so far as speakers are concerned.

I'll post the other 17 in due course. I have to just pause and say what a breath of fresh air it is to see someone critically analyse the claims made in the biography. It's just so much more soothing for the heart and convincing for the mind, rather than regurgitating what honestly goes against Aql and even Quran perhaps.

You won't regret it. He doesn't just uncritically go through the Seerah, he legitimately questions all of the Khurafat. He also examines the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) objectively, and you really do get a sense of seeing the real Muhammed (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and not the one exaggerated. No wonder they threatened to put him on house arrest, like they did with Sayed Kamal al-Hayderi.

What are the shia books on prophet biography? I am not talking about that sahih min seerat un nabi al azam, since the author primarily use sunni sources. I am talking about primary seerah books like sunnis have sirah ibn ishaq, sirah ibn hisham, tabaqat ul kubra ibn sad etc

Wasn't Ibn Ishaq accused of having Shiite leanings?

Ibn Hisham heavily relied on Ibn Ishaq

Baladhuri too, who authored Ansab al Asrahf, was accused of having Shiite leanings.

Al Ya'qubi's Tarikh is among the earlier such works from Shiite authors.

Salam he  had Shiite inclination which he  had moderate approach  about Abbasids .

A prominent characteristic of the book, which is regarded by some scholars as an indication of al-Ya'qubi's Shiite inclinations, is mentioning the biography of the Imams of Shi'a.

With regard to the Abbasids, he takes a moderate approach, and writes about the incidents that did not please them—such as the murder of Ibn Hubayra and Abu Muslim Khurasani and the fall of the Barmakids—in a cautious way.

Regarding the incidents that took place at his time, al-Ya'qubi addresses them only briefly, such as the uprising of Ali b. Muhammad Sahib al-Zanj (d. 270 /883).

When Was The First Biography Of Holy Prophet Written? - Our Prophet 1

Ibn Is-haq , he came about eight decades after the Prophet.

He lived in the city of Madinah. He had this passion to record everything about the Prophet's life. He would go to the people of Madinah. He would ask them, what did you hear from your parents about the Prophet? Those who lived with the Prophet. Give me details. So, Ibn Ish-aq is the first one who really compiled a comprehensive Sirah and biography on the Prophet's life. Yes?

What happened is one of his indirect students, who is Ibn Hisham. Now Ibn Ish-aq, what year did he pass away? He died in the year 150 Hijrah. He was born around the year 85. So, he was born about eight decades after the Prophet. He lived for about 70 years until the year 150 after the Hijrah. So, one and a half centuries after the Prophet.

Now there was a man by the name of Ibn Hisham. Ibn Hisham was a famous historian. What he did, he took the Sirah of Ibn Ish-aq and he summarized it.

Ibn ishaq is a political shi'i. Means he prefer ali over uthman but highly respect abu bakr and umar.

This is a good biography on the Prophet's life by a contemporary Twelver scholar..."The Message" by Ayatollah Ja'far Subhani...I read it 3 or 4 times...I own a hardcopy
