There's one primary reason why no country has actually dropped nukes since WW II.

Iran Foreign Ministry updates list of banned Israeli-linked products

He made the remarks in an interview broadcast on national television, when asked about the Foreign Ministry’s implementation of the law on “identifying goods produced with the support of Zionists.”

“Not long ago, we at the Foreign Ministry updated our list in this regard with the help of Iranian embassies abroad and presented it to relevant officials in this field,” he said.

Asked about whether there is a connection between domestic producers of Coca-Cola and the Coca-Cola Company, Safari said the domestic producers have confirmed that they have no relationship with the Coca-Cola Company.

Quote

Last week, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf called on the administration to identify Israeli goods being sold in Iranian markets and prevent their importation.

“The Foreign Ministry must compile a list of goods produced companies whose main shareholders are the Israelis,” he said. “The administration is also obliged to take necessary measures to prevent the import of these goods.”

He also said some of the medicines that are imported from Europe and the US may have affiliations with Zionists or Zionist supporters, but since the case is related to medicine, the country cannot stop the imports, but rather, would further strive to become more self-sufficient in the field of medicine.

Explosions In Lebanon & Iran: Netanyahu Wants to Drag U.S. Into Wider War w/ Professor Sayyid Mohammad Marandi / BreakThrough News / 38 minutes / Prof. Marandi of the University of Tehran says Israel can’t win a wider war against Lebanon and Iran. But these countries will have to respond to the recent terror attacks—and Israel’s war against Palestine may expand into a regional conflict nonetheless. Israel bombed Lebanon, assassinating senior Hamas political leader Saleh al-Arouri, followed by a series of explosions at the memorial service for Iranian General Qaseem Solemani, which killed over 100 people. Will the war widen? Will the U.S. ever pull back from its support for the genocidal Israeli regime? Brian Becker is joined by Prof. Mohammad Marandi. He is an expert on American studies and postcolonial literature who teaches at the University of Tehran.

Demonstrating capabilities

I get the impression that yesterday's missile strikes by Iran were a demonstration of their capabilities i.e. accuracy over a distance. It's interesting how responses are calibrated, so Iran only fired these from within Iran when it was attacked on its home soil.

Prior to that, all other attacks had been by other actors from within their own territories.

I would like to see normalized relations between Iran and the US

but that will take a dramatic shift in foreign policy on the US side, and a change of leadership. It will require political reform

it will likely require some kind of two-state solution for Israel as well

the last thing I want to see is war between Iran and the US. I have many friends in Iran, and it would be a catastrophe

I saw in the news Iranian proxy forces attacked a US base directly resulting in 3 US soldiers killed. This is right now a big problem for Biden and the democrats. They are talking about a serious respond.

i have lived in Iran, Afghanistan and US. Experience shows Democrats have good relations with Iranian leaders. During President Khatami, US agreed to admit and issue green cards to 500 Iranian leaders' family member. Or during Obama, they sent a plane filled with USD cash.

I dont remember at any point democrats were so much under pressure with media over Iran.It could be another show and it will calm die down shortly. Iran as the only official Shia country needs to make seriusly smart decisions in their foreign policies.

Time to revisit this thread

Here's one analysis. In sum, the US can't win a conventional war.

Even the most committed and crazed war-mongers in the US establishment, despite all their bluster and saber-rattling (think people like John Bolton), know that an actual invasion of Iran with ground troops is insane and next to impossible. What could potentially be in the cards in a future confrontation, I believe would be a limited air/naval bombing campaign. The problem for the US, is that this approach is almost as insane as a ground invasion because it would set in motion a response that the US could not control or protect against.

Salam respectfully this part is just a poor jook which although so called reformist in Iran like to cooperate with Democrats but issuing 500 green card is just a great lie which you have mistaken Iranian president with leader & his family ; which mr Khatami just has been president of Iran not leader of it which Leader of Iran is Imam Khamenei which himself & his family members never accepted any gift from any American political party which he & his family are open enemies of America the great satan which in similar fashion Obama has not sent "a plane filled with USD cash" just due to friendship but on the other he has had to send it due to fear from Iran & releasing  captured Us marines by IRGC navy .
