Then there is 0 points saying iran should get them. If iran was vulnerable without them, they would have been gone a long time ago considering they were the most sanctionned country on earth until 2022 and they have been threatened consistently for the last 50 years. 

 

The reality is even america admits a war with iran will be unlikley to achieve anything. Their bombs couldnt even penetrate places in yemen. 

 

Plus iran has enough missiles to cause ad much damage as nukes but whilst being precise.

 

But when it comes to your opinion on nukes, are you sure you want iran to do a nagasaki like option? Where they wipe out entire cities just so israel "understands" to stop doing what its doing? Or so iran can get some security they already enjoy without the nukes?  Even the most anti zionist amongst us wont see this as a moral thing. Are you sure you understand the implications of what youre saying? I feel like you need to take a step back and please think about the implications of this, i reflected a bit on it this week and in no way does iran flattening cities bring any good, thankfully iran never made one 50 years ago and this discussion is useless other than to make people reflect on their morals.

Does anyone see any clear indicator that USA will attack Iran? When Israel carried out it's air attack on Iran there was a lot of activity on the Iraqi airspace that gave Iran advance warning of the impending attack and time to prepare their defenses.

From what IU have heard here in the US, some government officials wanted to attack Iran (with Israel), but Trump told them "no" and pulled back the forces

he doesn't want war with Iran, and there is very little politically support for it

let's hope a deal can be made between these countries.

I still have many friends in Iran, and I am concerned

Trump is such a wild card that it's hard to predict his moves from moment to moment...he called Zelenski a "dictator"...a week later, when a reporter asked him whether or not he still believed Zelensky was a dictator...Trump responded with, “Did I say that? The situation depends on what position the US ultimately settles on. So far, the Trump admin has sent mixed messages. One day they say that only that they seek guarantees that enrichment will remain below 3.5% and that there should be a strict inspection regime. This is essentially what the JCPOA was. The next day they say they want the complete dismantlement of the nuclear program or no indigenous enrichment capability. The Iranians will obviously never accept that. 

For the moment, it looks like Trump has empowered Witckoff to negotiate on more realistic terms, and potentially come away with a deal. At the same time, the neocons and Israelis are putting enormous pressure to essentially shut down the talks. They want the US to have the maximalist position, which they know is a non-starter and will result in failed talks and pave the way for a military attack. 

Now is a good time to pray for the best of outcomes.

Trump says many provocative things, but we must look at his actions.

He is extremely pragmatic and not driven by ideology. He is a business man first, and politician second. He knows from a business perspective that war with Iran would mean:

1. Skyrocketing oil prices (the Strait of Hormuz would be closed)

2. Massive casualties: modern warfare is characterized by the inability of invading forces to hold land and positions for extended periods of time, as seen in Ukraine and Afghanistan

3. Huge protests in the US

4. Enormous monetary cost 

I just don't see it. I think he is placating Israel with this tough talk, and trying to get negotiations going with the Iranian government.

So Steve Witkoff, Trump's top negotiator with Iran, just made the following statement in an interview:

“An enrichment program can never exist in the state of Iran ever again. That’s our red line. No enrichment. That means dismantlement, it means no weaponization, and it means that Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan—those are their three enrichment facilities—have to be dismantled.” 

If we take that statement at face value - by assuming this is their actual position and not part of their 'good cop, bad cop'  psychological warfare  - it means that the Trump admin has decided on a path of war, because Iran will never accept those conditions. 

I hope and pray that this is not the case and that something else is being discussed behind the scenes.
