No idea if this is linked to resistance activity

The only U.S. Navy oil replenishment ship serving the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group, deployed in the Middle East in support of Israel amid its ongoing war with Hamas and soaring tension between other Iran-backed groups, ran aground Monday off the coast of Oman. U.S. officials told CBS News national security correspondent Charlie D'Agata the damage to the USNS Big Horn was significant enough to cause the partial flooding of the vessel, and it was being escorted by tugboats into port for a full assessment.

The US Navy has thwarted an attempted attack by Houthi rebels on three warships navigating the Red Sea, reports confirm.

On Friday, Houthi insurgents announced their "largest naval operation" aimed at halting the progress of US Navy guided-missile destroyers headed for Israel.

Despite claims by the Yemen-based militants of hitting one of the ships, military officials have refuted this, stating no vessels were damaged.

CNN's Pentagon correspondent Oren Liebermann reported: "Though the Houthis claim to have hit the US warships, the US defense officials say all of the launches were either intercepted or missed, and there was no damage to any ships or injuries to crew members."

Houthi forces launched a total of twenty-three ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones, reports the Express US.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin last month affirmed the deployment of US warships to the Middle East to back Israel against potential assaults by Iran and its allies.

The USS Spruance and USS Stockdale guided-missile destroyers, along with the littoral combat ship USS Indianapolis, were implicated in the recent skirmish.

This incident follows shortly after Houthi declared they had aimed at Tel Aviv and Ashkelon in Israel with a ballistic missile.

Although the strike was intercepted by Israel, Houthi has threatened further attacks if Benjamin Netanyahu does not cease military actions in Gaza and Lebanon.

Additionally, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) targeted the central headquarters of Hezbollah in Beirut last Friday.

A series of massive explosions flattened multiple buildings and sent clouds of orange and black smoke billowing in the skies in the biggest blasts to hit the Lebanese capital in the past year.

Three major Israeli TV channels reported that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was the target of the strikes in Beirut's southern suburbs.

No verification if this is true

This post is from Aug 9. Still no hard evidence that this happened. Seems unlikely.

Also, he said the Russians gave their satellite info to Iran. Even more unlikely. Russia doesn't share intel with anyone, especially not satellite images.

Useful historical context

Another data point to support the argument that Israel is more than happy to shape the countries around it, even when there is no direct threat.

Israel’s Mossad security agency and its air force assisted British intelligence services and special forces in the so-called “covert war” in Yemen in the 1960s, arming royalist forces against Egyptian-backed republicans.

Yeah this sounds like nonsense, there is no way this is real. This journalist from the atlantic got added by accident in their chat? And he's not getting in trouble? And the conversation looks too unrealistic. I don't buy this story 1 bit.

If this is real then, it's funny, it shows they genuinely hate Europe "freeloathing" them despite being their vassals and that they planned to do the attack on the houthis to "send a message" instead of the houthis being an actual threat. Also Micheal waltz using emojis .

I go along with the idea that this is a psyop.

“The Houthis have announced… that they don’t want to fight anymore. They just don’t want to fight,” Trump told a White House press appearance alongside Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. “And we will honor that, and we will stop the bombings, and they have capitulated,” he added. “They say they will not be blowing up ships anymore, and that’s… the purpose of what we were doing,” Trump said. … Tuesday’s Israeli strikes “completely destroyed” Yemen’s Sanaa airport, an airport official said, and also targeted power stations and a cement factory. Israel’s military said “fighter jets struck and dismantled Houthi terrorist infrastructure at the main airport in Sanaa, fully disabling the airport.”

^ Personally, I doubt that U.S. airpower has really degraded the Houthis. The ongoing blockade, on the other hand, seems to have significantly affected the Houthis’ ability to fight on a sustained basis.
