The Fallacy of the Pressure Cooker Argument.

When one has been oppressed for years then obviously they explode not that it is justified.

Lately I have heard this argument from Pro-Palestinians. It basically comes from an empathetic way of viewing the overall situation. That it is understandable why the pressure cooker explodes but not that it is justified.

This tone is a bit negative and it reinforces the idea that the resistance group is Barbaric. That they are carrying out barbaric and uncivilized actions only because of the situation they find themselves in. This also takes away the focus from the ID,F.  Also, lets be clear that all the allegations of rape, deliberate targeting of civilians, beheading of babies etc. are clearly false (no Muslim endorses any of these actions to start with). Then where does the idea of barbarity come from if one is defending their land and acting in accordance to the ethics of war? Is it not an honorable thing to be rising up against oppression.

Be careful of the colonial language, put all your efforts in focusing on the real barbaric savages who are the IDF. Whenever you have conversations with others, open their eyes to this reality.

The Fallacy of the Pressure Cooker Argument.

Here's Norman Finkelstein's take on it...he considers himself morally neutral on the matter...he neither condemns nor condones the Oct. 7th attacks...viewed from a Palestinian perspective, he considers the attacks to be completely understandable, natural and normal outgrowth of an occupation designed to be unbearable by human beings...he likens the Oct. 7th attacks to Nat Turner's slave rebellion (1831) in Southampton...Turner and a band of well-organized rebels used knives, hatchets and blunt instruments and traveled from house-to-house freeing as many enslaved Africans while simultaneously killing as many white men, women and children as possible...and he (Finkelstein) assumes the same stance that William Lloyd Garrison took...Garrison was an American abolitionist, agitator and social reformer...of the Nat Turner revolt, he (Garrison) wrote, “I do not justify the slaves in their rebellion; yet I do not condemn them, and applaud similar conduct in white men.”

Algeria declares war on Israel

https://new.thecradle.co/articles-id/11641

Algerian parliament unanimously votes to support Palestine militarily

The Algerian parliament has left the decision to enter the Gaza-Israel war in the hands of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune

NOV 3, 2023

The Algerian parliament on 2 November unanimously voted to = authorize President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to enter the Gaza-Israel war and throw his support behind Palestine.

The 100/100 vote icame a day after the anniversary of Algeria’s war of liberation against French colonialism.

#Palestine #Algeria
The Algerian parliament officially authorized Abdel Majid Tebboune, the president of this country to go to war with Israel by a 100% vote. The voting session of parliament was accompanied by long slogans in support of Palestinian people & resistance groups. pic.twitter.com/6p2z0aCyfG

— IWN (@A7_Mirza) November 2, 2023

Algeria is the second Arab nation that looks to enter the war against Israel, following Yemen’s declaration of war just two days prior.

"We launched a large number of ballistic and cruise missiles and a large number of drones at various targets of the Zionist enemy in the Palestine Occupied Territories," the spokesperson of the Yemeni armed forces, General Yahya Saree, said earlier this week. "We emphasize that this operation is the third operation in support of our oppressed brothers in Palestine."

Saree then added that "the position of our Yemeni people towards the cause of Palestine is fixed and principled, and the Palestinian people have the full right to defend themselves and use their full rights.” "Our forces performed their duty in supporting Gaza and fired ballistic and cruise missiles at enemy targets in the Occupied Territories."

Arab nations have recently been following suit in their support of the Palestinian piece; Kuwait has condemned the Israeli aggression, Bahrain has cut all diplomatic ties, and Jordan has recalled their ambassador to Israel.

Nations outside of West Asia who have voiced their support for Palestine include Cuba, Chile, Venezuela, Bolivia – who've cut diplomatic ties with Israel completely – Nicaragua, and others.

While this might be true, I don't think we should be celebrating this. The wagner group are paid mercenaries. They have no loyalty, no religion, and no morals. Actually they have a religion, their religion in the worship of money.

I'm not even sure this is true. What you posted in the only source I have seen for this so not enough info yet. That the sole source is the Hindustan Times doesn't give me much confidence that it's true at this point. They are not a credible source, IMHO.

Iran does have a political relationship with Russia, as it has with most countries in the world. At the same time, I wouldn't describe this as an 'alliance'. There is a historical mistrust between Iran and Russia, given that Iran was invaded by Russia less than 100 years ago. The people of Iran don't forget things like that very quickly.

Iran also had a good relationship with Ukraine before Zelinsky and his clown car of neo liberal fascists took over the country and put Ukraine in the bad situation it's in now.

Salaam, rewatch the video carefully...nowhere does the video claim that the Wagner Group will be doing the fighting on behalf of Hezbollah or in place of Hezbollah or alongside of Hezbollah...the video simply mentions the possibility of exchanging of military technologies and armaments between the two nations (i.e. Russia and Iran).

It doesn't seem like the Russian, Iranian or Lebanese news sources aren't reporting on it...perhaps they've chosen to remain lowkey on this particular piece of information for whatever reason...I can cite different 20 American news sources claiming Wagner Group is offering Hezbollah air defense systems...Americans and their allies are reporting on it...Syrian, Lebanese, Iranian and Russian news agencies aren't...it doesn't necessarily mean it's American propaganda...what would be the benefit of indicting Russia for no reason?

So far they seem pretty legit...I discovered Hindustan Times on my YouTube feed around two weeks ago...I've watched dozens of their videos and cross-referenced them with alternate sources online...I've also checked out their YouTube channel...so far, so good...they have news items from both the Palestinian and Israeli perspectives...what exactly determines the credibility of a news agency or news source in your opinion?

I've never heard of the Hindustan times before a few days ago.

Like I said, this might be true. I am willing to accept that possibility I just need more evidence.

Wagner Group are mercenaries with a horrible record of human rights abuses. I am not saying they are unusual as far as mercenary groups go. All mercenary groups have horrible human rights records because, well, they kill people as a business. That is why Iran is probably trying to keep it low key if they are dealing with them on any level.

They might be using them as an intermediary to acquire certain weapons and technology because they don't want to deal with Russian Govt directly. That is the most plausible scenario IMHO

US intelligence thinks Wagner plans to send air defence system to Hezbollah - WSJ

Reuters
November 3, 20234:03 AM EDTUpdated a month ago

MOSCOW, Nov 3 (Reuters) - The United States has intelligence that Russia's Wagner mercenary group plans to provide Hezbollah, the Iranian backed Lebanese militia, an air defence system, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing unidentified U.S. officials.

The Journal said Wagner plans to supply the Pantsir-S1 system, known by NATO as the SA-22, which uses anti-aircraft missiles and air-defence guns to intercept aircraft.

Wagner Group, which was funded by the Russian state and has been brought firmly under Kremlin control since an aborted mutiny by its former leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin, in June, did not reply to a request for comment from Reuters.

One unidentified U.S. official quoted by the Journal said that Washington had not confirmed that the system had been sent. But U.S. officials are monitoring discussions involving Wagner and Hezbollah, the Journal said.

The Journal said that the Pantsir system would be provided to Hezbollah via Syria, where Russia propped up President Bashar al-Assad by entering the civil war there in 2015.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards founded Hezbollah in 1982, in the middle of Lebanon's 1975-90 civil war. It was part of Iran's effort to export its 1979 Islamic Revolution around the region and fight Israeli forces after their 1982 invasion of Lebanon.

Lebanon's Hezbollah has been exchanging fire with Israeli forces across the border since its Palestinian ally Hamas in Gaza and Israel went to war on Oct. 7.

Russia’s Wagner group may provide Hezbollah with anti-aircraft weapons: White House

Russia’s Wagner Group mercenary force is considering providing air defense weapon systems to Iran-backed Hezbollah militants in Lebanon as part of a growing defense cooperation between Moscow and Tehran, U.S. officials said.

The Iranian regime also is seeking to purchase billions of dollars worth of military hardware from Russia, including helicopters, radar and combat trainer aircraft, the White House said Tuesday.

“Russia has also been helping Iran develop and maintain its satellite collection capabilities and other space-based programs,” National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said. “Our information further indicates that Wagner, at the direction of the Russian government, was preparing to provide an air defense capability to either Hezbollah or Iran.”

According to the Wall Street Journal, Wagner is planning to supply Hezbollah with the Pantsir-S1 system, a self-propelled, surface-to-air missile and anti-artillery weapon known as SA-22 by NATO.

The Kremlin-funded Wagner Group had a leading role in Russia’s war against Ukraine until co-founder Yevgeny Prigozhin led an uprising against his country’s military leaders. He was killed with nine others in late August, when his private jet crashed north of Moscow, an incident that several observers described as suspicious.

Hezbollah has launched strikes against sites in northern Israel since the start of its war against Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip.

https://www.cnn.com/2023/11/21/politics/white-house-wagner-group-intelligence/index.html

CNN —

The White House released recently declassified intelligence on Tuesday confirming that the Russian mercenary organization Wagner group has been preparing to provide an air defense capability “to either Hezbollah or Iran,” according to National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby.

Wagner was preparing to provide the capability at the direction of the Russian government, Kirby said.

The newly downgraded intelligence did not specify where the missile system would be coming from. But CNN previously reported that the Wagner Group had been tasked with carrying out the delivery of a surface-to-air SA-22 missile system from Syria to the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad agreed to provide Hezbollah with the Russian-made missile defense system, known as a Pantsir, two people familiar with the intelligence told CNN last month.

“We will closely monitor for whether Wagner provides military equipment to Hezbollah or Iran,” Kirby said. “We are prepared to use our counterterrorism sanctions authorities against Russian individuals or entities making these destabilizing transfers.”

Russia’s role in directing the transfer of an air defense system to Hezbollah reflects Moscow’s ongoing arms relationship with Iran and its proxies, which has only strengthened since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022. The US is also concerned that Iran is preparing to provide Russia with ballistic missiles, which Iran showcased to Russian Defense Minister Shoigu during the latter’s visit to Tehran in September, Kirby said on Tuesday.

Wagner and Hezbollah fighters have also both operated in Syria for years, where they have been working alongside Russian and Syrian armed forces to bolster the Assad regime against the Syrian opposition. Hezbollah began to pull its fighters out in recent years, but the group is also backed by Iran, which is a close Assad ally. A source familiar with western intelligence told CNN previously that there has been evidence of increasing collaboration between Hezbollah and Wagner in Syria.

The possibility that Hezbollah could soon have a new air defense system comes amid concerns that the militants are considering opening a new front in Israel’s war on Hamas, on Israel’s northern border with Lebanon. The US has repeatedly warned Hezbollah and other Iran-backed groups to stay out of the conflict and has positioned aircraft carriers and troops in the region to try to deter against a potential escalation.

Still, Iran-backed militia groups have launched over 60 attacks on US forces in Iraq and Syria since October 17, prompting the US to respond with strikes on the militants.

The US intelligence community has assessed that Iran has been calibrating its response to Israel’s military intervention in Gaza to avoid direct conflict with Israel or the US, while still exacting costs on its adversaries via its proxy groups, CNN has reported.

But Iran does not maintain perfect control of its umbrella of these proxy groups, officials say—in particular over Hezbollah. Hezbollah is an ally of Hamas, the group that attacked Israel on October 7, and has long positioned itself as fighting against Israel.

Hezbollah and Israel have engaged in cross-border strikes on each other in northern Israel and southern Lebanon over the last month, but US officials believe Hezbollah is for now not planning on entering the war in force.

'Hostages THANK Hamas For Compassionate Treatment' / Jimmy Dore / 5 Minutes

"Evidence of the shocking — shockingly good, that is — treatment hostages captured and held by Hamas after the October 7 attacks on Israel has been growing with each released captive. Most recently Hamas released a letter written by 44-year-old Israeli Danielle Aloni thanking her captors for their kind treatment of both her and her young daughter. Some have criticized the letter as coerced but Aloni has not publicly disavowed any of the letter’s contents. Here is the full text of Aloni’s letter (which has been translated from Hebrew): “To the commanders who have accompanied me in recent weeks, it seems that we will part ways tomorrow, but I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your extraordinary humanity that you have shown towards my daughter Emilia. You treated her like your own. You welcomed her in your room whenever she walked in. She says that you are all her friends, not just acquaintances. You are her true and good loved ones. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the countless hours you spent with her as caregivers. Thank you for being patient with her and showering her with sweets, fruits, and everything available, even if it wasn’t readily accessible. Children should not be in captivity, but thanks to you and other kind-hearted individuals and leaders we have met during our presence here, my daughter considered herself a queen in Gaza and felt like she was the center of the world. We did not meet a single person, whether a member or leader, during our long stay [in Gaza] who did not treat her with kindness, tenderness, and love. I will forever be a captive of gratitude because she will not leave this place with a permanent psychological trauma. I will remember your kind manners, which you showed in here despite the difficult situation you were coping with yourselves, and the heavy losses that befell you here in Gaza. I wish in this world that we could be really good friends one day. I wish you all good health and well-being. Health and love to you and your families. Thank you very much. Daniel and Emilia."

Bismillah,

The thing that gives me hope in all of this is that many non muslims are just now waking up and realizing that the current political state of Israel which is based on the Zionist doctrine is a threat to the US and the world and is not an 'ally' or 'friend'.

Some of us who have been around a while have been saying this since the 90s. No One except a few people listened to us and the demonstrations against Zionism and the Zionist agenda were very small, maybe less than 100 people. Now, in the US, you see thousands of people at demonstrations all over the country every week. These demonstrations are not being covered by the main stream media but are covered on social media platforms. So this is a huge change and not good for the Zionists since the US in the center of their support network.

Large Platforms like 'YouTube' are blocking the videos, most of them, of the demonstrations. If you do a search on google or youtube (both owned by google, aka Alphabet) you won't see the video. You have to go to other places like reddit, specifically the r/palestine group and you will see them.

It is very sad that thousands of children had to die in order to wake people up but hopefully they are waking up. Insha'Allah.

Obviously after last time I assume they will wait before allowing them to speak so they can "convince" them on what to say to the public. :threatenlumber:
