I am surprised by this attack. Is it a good move or not? have they thoughts and prepared for what may happen? I don't know what to think. I support Palestine.

The videos coming out of women and children being dragged off at gunpoint while militants chant “Allahu akbar” are frankly an awful look. The general response I’m seeing from the larger public, even from Palestinian-sympathetic people, is shock and disgust.

Israel is going to curb stomp Gaza, with the world’s full approval. The only losers of this are the Palestinians, just like always. The Arab world’s favorite football. God help them.

Please share the videos here. I haven't seen them and I want to get the full picture of what's going on.

Hamas has reportedly captured Brigadier General Nimrod Aloni. Aloni stepped aside as the commanding officer of the Gaza Division in August 2022. He currently is the commander of the “Depth Corps”, a strategic force whose mission is to use Israeli special forces to operate in the depth of an enemy. It seems Hamas has turned the table on Israel, and is now operating in Israel’s strategic depth. This operation is extraordinarily well planned and executed. Any notion that Israel will be able to contain this attack soon is misplaced. Israel did not anticipate anything of this scope and scale. It is a massive intelligence failure for Israel, and an equally impressive operational success for Hamas.

The following is Sayyid Hasan's response to Hamas’ call for resistance, codenamed the “Al-Aqsa Flood”:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

“Permission (to fight) has been granted to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory.” (Quranic verse).

“Hezbollah congratulates the resisting Palestinian people and the heroic fighters of the Palestinian factions, especially our dear brothers in the Al-Qassam Brigades and the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, for the wide-ranging and divinely supported heroic operation, promising complete victory.

“This triumphant operation is a decisive response to the ongoing crimes of the occupation and continuous violations against sanctities, honors, and dignities.

“It is a renewed confirmation that the will of the Palestinian people and the rifle of the resistance is the only choice in confronting aggression and occupation.

“It sends a message to the Arab and Islamic world, and the international community as a whole, especially those seeking normalization with this enemy, that the Palestinian cause is an everlasting one, alive until victory and liberation.

“We call on the peoples of our Arab and Islamic nation, and the free people around the world, to declare their support and backing for the Palestinian people and the Resistance movements, affirming their unity in blood, word, and action.

“The leadership of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon is closely following the significant developments on the Palestinian scene, monitoring the field conditions with utmost interest. They are in direct contact with the leadership of the Palestinian Resistance both domestically and abroad, constantly evaluating the events and the progress of operations.

“Thus, we call on the government of the Zionist enemy to comprehend the important lessons established by the Palestinian Resistance in the battlefield and arenas of confrontation.”

Doesn't matter what the palestinians do, the Western media will always portray them as terrorists. The Oslo accords were a disaster for the Palestinians. Only thing they have gotten from it are open air prisons, humiliating checkpoints and settlers annexing their lands. Israel hasn't been interested in peace to begin with

It certainly matters to our Maker.

You remember Him, right?

It’s all the same what they do, so might as well act like savages? That’s your argument? That’s your ethical orientation?

Hamas and Hezbollah stop using 'Allahu Akbar" as a battlecry about 20 years...their commandos operate in complete professional silence nowadays...pretty sure those were ordinary civilians and passersby cheering and exclaiming in a jovial manner

The reinforcements included drones, Iranian Fajr missiles, and advanced weapons that arrived at military sites in the Daraa and Quneitra governorates. Leaders and members of the Lebanese Hezbollah militia entered a number of military sites northwest of Daraa, and other sites in the Quneitra Governorate close to the border with the occupied Golan. Military reinforcements entered “Tall al-Qa’id,” which is located near the town of Jabab, north of Daraa, and similar reinforcements from foreign militias entered a number of military hills located northwest of Daraa, and Tulul al-Sha’ar and Krum in Quneitra Governorate  https://twitter.com/mohammed_asakra/status/1711096694035599762

It could be less or more, but surely they are going to help them. The only ones who is going to suffer is us because of the increase of debts.

This guy gets it.

This attack has over 700 Israelis dead.  I'm sure most are civilian.  They attacked civilian targets, they captured women and children.  Even people that supported Palestine in the past cannot turn a blind eye to this terrorism.

Further, in order for them to be successful, they couldn't show any signs of preparation for a response.  The Gazan people I'm sure have no idea what was happening, and didn't prepare.  Now Israel will come full force into Gaza and the civilians will suffer.  Wouldn't surprise me if they start a land invasion and decimate Hamas.  In the process they will likely kill and capture most young men, many teenagers, and of course women and children will die in the process.  And they will have the world's sympathy as they do it.

Gaza will be further turned into rubble, and there will be even more desperation from the people there.  Thousands of orphaned children will grow up without fathers, and some without mothers.  They will lack an education, they will have nothing to live for other than to sacrifice themselves as further cannon fodder one day.

I completely understand that this attack was likely borne out of frustration and hopelessness.  But it lacks any foresight.  You had an Israeli government that was non-functional.  One that had a lot of infighting, and a lot of liberal Jews that were revolting against the hard right conservative government of Netanyahi.  Now they're uniting, and they're uniting against a common enemy that is Hamas/Palestinians.

This is a bad look for Palestinians and a bad look for Islam.  Iran should not be supporting these acts.  They should be voicing support for Gaza in the context of their desperation, but not condoning such actions.

As a side note, I wonder if Saudi Arabia will be compelled to hold off on signing any diplomatic relations with Israel if the Saudi people support the Palestinians and the Israelis go too brutal when they retaliate.

Anyways, the world continues to not surprise me.  Hopefully

Dr. Farrokh did a whole 4 part series of speeches on the topic.

It is the taxpayer money of Americans. Doesn't matter a non-muslim, shia, sunni Or any scholar. Their contribution to Palestine indirectly is evil.

A Post by a Sunni Scholar, Samir Hussain.

The Western media and now some Muslim countries want to make the Israeli oppression & colonization of the Palestinian people ethically negligible, politically normative, passively acceptable and the default status quo. We must do everything we can to stop this from happening. Teach your family, friends and those within your circle of influence:

1) How Jews were originally welcomed into Palestine as refugees in the 1940s, and then via the UN were allowed to forcibly remove Palestinians from their homes, then eventually started to kill them indiscriminately and take over their land. This led to massacres like the Nakba and hundreds of thousands of Palestinians becoming refugees and settling in surrounding countries like Egypt, Syria & Lebanon.

2) In the past few decades is the history of how Israel has been gradually taking over the West Bank, violating international treaties in doing so, and making daily life a living hell of apartheid and abuse for West Bank Palestinians. Then of Gaza - how it has been made into a literal prison city and bombed from time to time under the false excuse of 'security'.

3) What has been happening in Israel/West Bank in the past few years in terms of extrajudicial killings of protesting Palestinians, the harassment & violent abuse of worshippers in Al-Aqsa every Ramadan, anti-Arab policies in government & politics, and an overall far-right attitude towards non-Jews in Israel.

4) The countless Palestinians who have been forcibly removed from their ancestral homes, villages and lands these past few decades, with their homes and farmland taken over by Israeli settlers. Settlers have been consistently supported by the Israeli army in their abuse of settlers.

5) Then there are the tens of thousands of Palestinians in prisons - from men, women and children - sometimes for decades - sometimes taken for no reason or for as little as talking back to an Israeli officer.

6) How any attempt to find a non-violent, political solution has been repeatedly shut down by the USA in the UN Security Council, or accords/agreements violated by Israel in its constant and consistent acts of colonialist encroachment & aggression. Palestinians have tried the non-violent route, and their concerns have been neglected repeatedly.

7) How this is NOT about anti-Semitism. Muslims have always had good relations with Jews, unlike European Christians who have historically committed repeated acts of genocide against them (not just in WW2). Jewish scholarship flourished in Al-Andalus, Murad II rescued thousands of Jews from the Spanish Inquistion and resettled them in Constantinople, and Maimonedes was a guest in the entourage of Salahuddin al-Ayyubi. It's only Israeli oppression that we are against, not Judaism, whose beliefs are much closer to ours than Christians. After all this... it is irrational and ridiculous to expect anyone to sit by and live in humiliation in oppression. It is natural & praiseworthy for people to fight back to reclaim their rights and human dignity.

This statement has no basis.

What do you mean it has no basis?

There is verified documentary evidence of this happening. Are you for real? Are your sources hiding this information from you? Or you just want to actively deny reality in the service of your ideology?

We are not allowed to attack civilians in war in Islam. Muhammad’s teachings and the Quran’s teachings about this were clear. Muhammad would condemn such a thing.

18 minutes ago, Zainuu said:

Don't forget that Israel follows a citizen army protocol. Every citizen has combat experience and every citizen is armed. In a war zone, everyone who carries arms is a legitimate target.

Here we see the classic part two of this 1-2 rhetoric tactic. Watch carefully and learn, boys and girls.

1. What are you talking about? That’s not happening. Our guys would never do that.

2. But, regardless, they totally deserve it though.

But let’s take this apart. “In a war zone.”
By law, there was no war zone. A state of war is begun with a verbal declaration of war that precedes the start of hostilities. This was the ethics of warfare between groups even in the classical Muslim civilization, against Muslim or non-Muslim alike. Launching directly into violence against your neighbor without a word of warning was something against any code of honor.

Second, I would be careful promoting the notion that compulsory military service in a country means there is no longer such a thing as an illegitimate target. That’s one that can come back to bite you. Shiachat’s photo uploaded is useless on mobile, so it won’t let me share the graphic. But most Muslim countries—including Iran, Syria, Turkey, and all of Israel’s neighbors except Lebanon—have compulsory military service.

So…do you think Iran’s civilians are fair game too?  Syria’s?

Presumably you don’t include Lebanon. But. You know. If we’re fully honest, the spirit of your argument about Israel and the militarization of its society could be applied just as well to anything south of Beirut, couldn’t it?

So are they fair game? I don’t think they’re fair game.

What is your objective, Godly moral standard here, beyond tribe and politics?

You can’t just say “thou shalt but not I.” It’s an objectively evil way to wage warfare, to pretend not to understand the difference between combatant and non. As Muslims I see no evidence that we are allowed to make excuses for this sort of behavior. It’s wrong whoever does it.

U.S. has 50 wars going on at the same time (e.g. North Korea, Russia, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, China, Libya, Venezuela, Palestine etc.) but Hamas and Hezbollah are considered the crazies (sarcasm).

Lebanon, Syria etc. are all indigenous to the region...Israel is a foreign occupier that will be expelled sooner or later...Hamas, Hezbollah etc. try to avoid 'civilian' casualties as much as humanly possible...Israel almost exclusively targets civilian infrastructure...this is done deliberately to inflict maximum damage on victims and leave them with material losses as a form of revenge...the hope is to pressure the local population(s) to turn against the resistance

Don't be surprised if the Syrian military decides to join the festivities...this could be about: 1.) retrieving the Shebaa Farms and 2.) retrieving the Golan Heights and 3.) drawing a line in the sand with regard to Syrian territorial integrity...an Isreali drone strike targeted a military cadet graduation ceremony in Homs three days ago...the blast killed approximately 90 people...families, women and children were among the dead

Israel displaces an entire indigenous population, commits ethnic cleansing for 70 years, does Sabra and Shatila massacres in Lebanon, bombs Syria daily with impunity, hospitalizes ISIS fighters...Kadhim's response, "yeah but Hezbollah said, "Allahu Akbar!""
