Salam, 

Does anyone know if men are allowed to wear bandana during prayer? I'm aware that someone can simply just take it off before praying but I just want the know the ruling of what is permissible and what isn't?

Salaam Alaikum

I wasn't able to find anything on Ayatollah Sistani's website, but if I were you, I would call your local Shia masjid and ask them.
