Please help me out. I am very depressed. My mother got diagnosed with  advanced cancer. Which dua. Salat. Amaal. To do. 

Also if anyone can perform ziyarat on her behalf or pray at shrine. Please help

Salam alaikum... May Allah ease your difficulties 

Idk about amal but Contact a Caravaan that go ziyaarat... I've seen the leader of Caravaan usually performing umrah or ziyaarat on bhelaf of others. almost all Caravaan leaders offer to perform umrah or ziyaarat on behlaf of someone....

One thing I remember and it will give you hope

A relative of mine was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. He was told by doctors thay he won't survive for more than 6 years... Within 6 months he planned for ziyarah of Imam Hussain (عليه السلام). According to his own words i still remember " i asked Allah to let me live.so that i can visit Mola Hussain again and he did" he said this kn his second visit to ziyaraat with was 4-6 years later... From 3 months to 4-6 years... Idk if its a miracle or some medical science but he survived Cancer

So all hope is nit lost i guess Cancer is nothing in front of beemar e karbala?

May Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) help you and your mother, dear sister. 

If you are able to, perform the Amal of Umm Dawood.

Contact Shakir Ali Najafi on YouTube, Facebook or Instagram. He's from Pakistan but based in Najaf and will pray for your mother at one of the maqamamat of the a'immah (ams), or arrange for it to be done, inshallah. He looks like a very helpful and genial soul.

You have to fast on all the three days, 13th , 14th and 15th of the month. Then on the 3rd, that is, 15th day you have to perform the amal after Asr prayers.

I was not able to go today but I told my husband the situation and he is inshaAllah doing it right now. inshaAllah Allah accepts and may He give your mother the best of both worlds.

13th, 14th and 15th of any month, such as Safar or Rabi al-Awwal.

May Allah give your mum health and well being. I would recommend spend more time with your mum and visit her more often. Be available if she needs anything. Usually people need more support from family in these situations. Dealing with the diagnosis is hard but doable, but feeling lonely at difficult situations is much harder.

Salam it's mainly recommended during month of Rajab although you can do it in other Islamic months too.

In Mafatih al-jinan, Shaykh 'Abbas Qumi mentioned it among recommended practices of Rajab 15th, after the fasting of Ayyam al-Bid. Today, some people go to i'tikaf since Rajab 13th and perform Umm Dawud on the last day of their i'tikaf (Rajab 15th).

The story of Umm Dawud supplication is mentioned in details in al-Shaykh al-Saduq's Fada'il al-ashhur al-thalatha (merits of the three months) and al-Sayyid b. Tawus's Iqbal al-a'mal. It is mentioned below in brief:

Dawud, son of Umm Dawud was taken captive by al-Mansur al-Dawaniqi, the Abbasid caliph and was taken to Iraq and there was no information about him for a long time. For the freedom of her son, Umm Dawud frequently made supplications before God and also asked people of worship for help, but, it did not happen. One day, she went to Imam al-Sadiq (a) and Imam (a) asked about her son. Umm Dawud told the story. Imam al-Sadiq (a) told her to fast the three days of Rajab 13, 14 and 15 and to perform the practices at the noon of the third day. They later became famous after her name.^[4]

Based on these two reports, after performing Umm Dawud practices, she met the Prophet (s) in a dream and he (s) gave her the good news about the freedom of her son and after a while, her son returned home and said that he was released at Rajab 15th.^[5]

That's sad. Usually he's very active on YouTube. 

But I believe sister @ireallywannaknow 's husband has already done the needful at Mashhad; asking any one ma'soom (عليه السلام) is enough.

Salam you can do it any time that you can do it anyway it's better that you do it after  fasting for three days  which you can fast for three continuous days so then in fourth day without fasting  follow instructions of reading the Dua.
